The Cultural Context of Aging: Worldwide Perspectives 3rd Edition

Could have been put together better, hard to follow, jumps from one thing to another.Talks a lot, but doesn't really say much. Good subject, just kind of disappointing in howthe message is delivered.

I'm reviewing based on having read about a dozen of the articles in this book, which is a wonderful compendium of work on issues related to aging in cultures around the world. I highly recommend this as an introductory text to anyone interested in the subject.

I hate this book! It has good information, but I just can't get my head around it for class! BORING!Seller was late getting it to me as well.

The volume also includes up-to-date and provocative information on contemporary demographic shifts around the globe. This is a must-have for anthropologists, sociologists and gerontologists interested in aging and an extremely useful volume for teaching. I plan to use it in my upcoming Anthropology of Aging course.
