I learned a lot about this addiction.

I really didn’t know what to expect from this book. It helped me so much and brought healing in so many different ways. I encourage you if your going through the same situation to read this book. It is definitely a book that helps in healing from betrayals.

This book is a well-written, important contribution to the field of sexual addiction recovery. I particularly recommend it for spouses of sex addicts and for mental health professionals who want to understand more about working with people who are struggling with the anguish of being married to a sex addict. Maurita Coccoran's writing style is refreshingly candid, while courageously open and generously caring. Her book gives the reader everything its cover promises to deliver. Catherine McCall,LMFT, GA

This book follows her through 10+ years of dealing with her husband's addiction, and to me it really glasses over a lot of important moments. I liked how she included her journal entries in it, but there wasn't much story behind it. It was like she was giving you a recap of what happened. I wouldn't recommend it to people.I don't see how her story would help someone. After what her husband did, it destroyed her (like many wives) but she stayed with him and allowed him to keep destroying her. I think there are some cases when divorce is best, and a person just can't be saved. This seemed like one of those times. She wasn't strong in this book, and I was looking for an uplifting book about a wife who became strong. This wasn't it.The bottom line was she didn't leave her addicted Dr. Husband because she didn't want to give up her lifestyle (beach house just to an me one) so instead she stayed with him even though it turned her into a mean, bitter, angry, depressed woman who could barely raise her kids. She wasn't strong through any of this.

Excellent description of how this couple worked their way, against offs, to overcome his addiction and make their marriage grow. An inspiration to every couple stricken with an addicted member who is committed to saving the relationship.

I did not connect as much with a he religious / 12 step element of this book and it seemed like all her days were bad following discovery. Still a good read for those trying to work through the intense pain of sex addiction.

To those of us woman who are married to men with sexual addiction this book is OUR story! I cried with Maurita (author) as a read this book her journey became my reality! This book will take you through the devastation of finding out the lies that involve sexual addiction but it will also give yo hope in recovery for the wife and the addict.

Could not put this book down. A very hard subject to read but it was a great book. I recommend it to anyone who has had experience with someone who has this addiction or of you have this addiction
