Stretch Cargo 5 Pocket Venture Flat Front Woven Hiking Shorts for Men

I loved the old version with two cargo pockets and zippers on the back pockets. These days it's really hard to find shorts with cargo pockets that don't stick out too much. These are very low profile.But the new style only has one cargo pocket and no zippers on the back.The waist sizes are way too big as well. Order a size below normal.

I bought a grey pair and they fit perfectly, so being the same brand and considering the waist is measured in inches, I didn’t think there would be any real variation. I bought these, washed them and I have to constantly pull them up when I wear them. Very annoying, the first pair are my favorite pair of shorts and these simple don’t fit.

I call them my Action Adventure shorts. They are a great every day wear. Love them camping, hiking, and bicycling. When riding any sort of distance, I pair them with padded shorts and wear these over. Their elasticity makes them comfortable for all occasions and are yet sturdy. They dry quickly. I need a belt with them as they do stretch out as you wear them. I buy a waist size smaller than I would for other shorts.

I have a few pairs of these shorts. A pair from 5 or 6 years ago has been worn and washed so many times that it is now relegated to the "painting cloths" pile so I needed to replace them. They are still good quality and I like the low profile of the "cargo" pocket for my phone. The pocket is incorporated without looking like a cargo short. The only negative is that the original shorts had a pocket on both legs so my phone fit on one side and my sunglasses on the other. I'll figure it out.

Compared to Gerry Vertical Water short, and Gerry Venture Cargo Short, waist is looser because it doesn't have Elastic on sides or belt like water short or comfort band and side belt like cargo short. Material is thicker than water short and same as cargo. Easy wash and care, good for hot weather, stretch. All are very comfortable. My husband is size 33, doesn't like shorts tight, and has all three in size 34 and likes them all for different reasons.

If you do squats or leg press on a regular basis these will be too tight in the butt and thighs. Otherwise these are EXCELLENTLY made shorts. Loved the style and the fabric. To bad they're made for guys with skinny little legs and no booty. If you are in that category you'll love these.The 34s fit my legs and butt, but were really saggy in there waist. 32s for the waist but too tight in the legs. Wish they had some 33s. Might have a winner.

I have a few pairs I bought at another retailer, and they stopped carrying them. I found them on Amazon for about the same price, but in more colors. They are a great material. look nice, and have just a bit of stretch to them, making them very comfortable to hike in, or just to kick around town. My only downside is the manufacturer's logo is so prominent. Otherwise, a great and comfortable option for everyday wear.

These are the most comfortable shorts I have ever for work. The waist band is the best thing about these shorts, they move with me and do not bind like most work shorts. The side pocket is a bit too wide for my use, I use it for my utility knife, but not a deal killer. I will buy more of these shorts.
