SwansonDgl (Licorice) 385 Milligrams 180 Chwbls (2 Pack)

I regret not closely checking the ingredients. Contains sugar alcohols and peppermint oil. Both are very irritating to the stomach and trigger acid reflux. Don't know how this can be marketed as soothing to the stomach, I think for many people it would be the complete opposite.

Recently I started trying Swanson's brand of some "herbal remedies" that I use because they appeared to be a good value. Swanson's brand of DGL has been working well for my acid reflux. Also, I quite like the licorice with peppermint taste of them.

I bought it for stomach acid I have in the mornings. Too unpleasant a taste to chew. Was returned.

Shipping was quick. This DGL works for my heartburn. The only drawback is the taste. I like the taste of most DGL Licorice chewable tablets but this does not taste like it at all. It tastes terrible!

I was expecting a licorice taste but the taste is terrible. A combination of peppermint and not sure what else but not pleasing at all.

Very weird reaction to water, it gets fuzzy and tastes pretty gross. Couldn't even take down the first pill. A different delivery factor is a must. I should have returned this but forgot.

I have tried using various forms of DGL licorice, both chewable tablet and capsule.Overall I prefer the chewable type, as I like the flavour and think that it's healing properties could be best utilised as it passes through the digestive track.One notable point is that this version of licorice does not affect my blood pressure. I do need to monitor my BP and it had been fine whilst using these.All DGL licorice tends to be expensive as a supplement. Each of the chewable types do seem to have their own unique flavour, underlying that is a licorice taste. I find these pleasant enough.I generally take one or two before a main meal. Whilst there seems to be no one stop treatment to aid digestion and reduce reflux I have found that these do help. But taking more than noted on the label too often can lead to indegestion, at least they do for me.Overall they are good value, compared to other known brands, taste alright and seem to be beneficial.Hope that this review has helped you.
