Best Bird Book Ever!
I really wanted to learn more about birds and this book was the answer! I haven't needed the other bird books since I've found this one. Each page is a real photo with a complete description of size, migration, gender differences, and much more. It is organized by the size and color of the bird so you can find what you want quickly. If you live in Maine and want to identify the birds at your feeder, this is the only book you need. I was so impressed that I bought a couple more as Christmas gifts.

Very helpful
Organized by color, makes it easy to find the bird you are looking at. Has the zones of Maine the bird can be found in in each season, also very helpful. Very concise and organized, has all the important information.

These birds are truly in my backyard
This is a small well organized book on birds. It uses color to identify common birds quickly. I am amazed at how many different birds I see at my backyard feeder. The book is small enough to go on hikes in backpacks. It has inspired me to maintain mixed seed, suet and thistle feeders. My morning coffee is in the company of blue jays, cardinals, red breasted nuthatches, tufted titmouse, chipping sparrows, house and purple finches, common redpoll, chickadees, goldfinches, robins, wild turkeys and woodpeckers, (downey, hairy and red-bellied). The book adds interesting details about each species.
