Works OK. Should be 1/4 of the price.
Way overpriced for the simplicity of it. Worked OK. Very light duty. Likely won't last.

When it works, it's a thing of beauty.
OK, here's the deal. I read all the reviews and watched all the YouTube videos. In those videos, they always had nice wide spaces between the pavers, and the tool goes in relatively easily and the pavers always miraculously come out. I knew my situation would be more challenging as they are tightly packed and have been in the ground for 12+ years. See photo. The tool itself is ingenious. When you can get it in, it indeed does grip under the paver and they come out quite easily. The challenge is getting it in. And yes, my pavers are mounted in sand, and I only have sand in between them. The spacers molded into the pavers make scraping out the sand between them impossible - you have no choice but to drive it straight down. I found the only way that worked sometimes was to get a strong steel putty knife the same width and thickness as these tools, wet the grout lines (not sure this does anything), and pound away. With this method I found I could be about 60% successful. Many joints were as strong as concrete and just wouldn't budge. You could try this experiment before buying this tool: buy a thin 1 1/2" putty knife and try pounding it between your pavers and see what happens. If you can get it to go in, this tool will probably work for you.60% success doesn't sound very good, but it actually worked for me because all I needed to do was steal some old pavers from one area to blend in with new pavers being used for a patchjob in another area so they don't stand out so much. So even though the success rate wasn't that high in my situation, I'm giving this 4 stars because I can't see any other tool working any better.A word of caution - never insert one of the tools until you are sure you have successfully pounded slots on both sides of a paver. If you put one tool in and can't pound a slot in the other side, you will have a stuck tool in your driveway or patio!Good luck.

No quality
First time I tried this set of paver extractors, the metal bent and the "prongs" that crb the paver do not have enough depth to get a good grip. The quality is not there and don't expect to be able to use anymore since the steel temper has been lost. Would not reccomend thes, won't do the job well and will not last. If you do try these be sure to wear gloves since metal edges are sharp! Also handle does not stay in place even with cuts. Don't waste your money.

generally speaking a useless gimmick
very weak. if bricks are tight, it is impossible to get these plates in, to catch the edges. if the bricks are loose or have wider gaps it doesn't stay hooked. Handle is weak. and 3 parts are hard to keep together while working. Anyway you need to wiggle the brick to "move". but if you can wiggle the brick then you can easily lift it with trowel. so ... completely useless. 2 stars because it is MY mistake for buying it :)

Incomplete information
Wont work for pavers over concrete, or with polymeric sand. Good information to have in the product description. Not useful enough for me now.

Nice try but not a usable tool
Its a good idea but the problem is that there is no convenient way to pound the thing in between the pavers. Its so thin that hitting it with a hammer or malette makes the blade bend. If they made it with a cap that would slide onto near side of the blade so you can effectively pound it, it would be a usable product. Better solution: get a L shaped pick from a pickset. Grip it with a vice grips. Work it between the pavers and you can lift pavers out effectively. See photo
