Groovy!
If you liked the first book, you need to get this one. More personal history and behind the scenes anecdotes presented in an unpretentious, easy to read style.

Great follow up to "If Chins Could Kill"!
Great follow up from his first book, "If Chins Could Kill", essentially fills in where he left off from his last book up until the present time with some overlap to the early 1990s. Yes, he did have a second book, "Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way", but that was satire and does not fit the biography/memoir status of this and his first book.Just like with his first book, he goes into lots of detail about his personal life and his dealing with Hollywood while dealing with the fact that he has risen to "Legend" status due to his horror movie work and his role as Ash. A great and fun read, Bruce tells his story with much vigor and on a very personal level. An absolute must read, especially for any Bruce Campbell fan!

Very Groovy
I stumbled upon Bruce Campbell rather recently. On a lark, I watched The Evil Dead, and fell in love with the goofiness of it. After watching the rest of the movies, and Ash vs Evil Dead, I grew to appreciate Bruce Campbell's unique style. I then found out he had been in several of my favorite tv shows. After re-watching those episodes, I further grew to love everything associated with Bruce Campbell. So when I found out he was releasing a new book, I had to buy it.I was not disappointed. It is really quite something getting an inside look at all the going ons that he's dealt with, and been a part of.It's a fun insight of an actor's life, and all it entails.

Good Book
I love all things Bruce Campbell. I've watched more movies that sucked than I have that were good, just because of Bruce Campbell. When I heard this one was coming out, I pre-ordered on Amazon. Opened it the day I received it. Took me longer than it should have to read, but life happens.I liked the look into his later life, post Army of Darkness and Brisco County. The anecdotes about The Man With the Screaming Brain (a movie that sucked, but it had Bruce Campbell) were funny as hell. His talk of Comic-Cons was good. I loved his description of an jet as containing "a geek's wet dream - Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker, Jon Berenthal, Dean Cain and that Evil Dead guy." Bruce, as much as I love Walking Dead and Norman Reedus, I wouldn't give them a second glance if you were there.

"Klaatu barada nikto"
I’ve been a fan of Bruce (don’t call me Ash) Campbell since he first stuck that famous chin out to get smacked around by Deadites. He might be a B budget actor to some but he’s A-Ok to me.Corny comment? You bet, Bruce... now shut up and enjoy your well deserved tequila martini and be happy that I bought this book for my coffee table AND the audiobook from audible.Read this book, folks.Where else will you find what it was like to play the role of an aging Elvis Presley who wakes up from a coma in an East Texas nursing home, only to fight out that a mummy (Bubba Ho-Tep) is killing residents.I’m not making this up.Bruce goes into significant details over his prep for the role from an Elvis impersonator who really gets into “sweat” and the memories of colognes gone by.No spoilers here, but it’s hilarious. And that’s just one reminiscent story from the Bruce Campbell school of autobiographies. In this one, we learn what made Bruce... well, Bruce. If you haven’t bought his first book, “If chins could kill...” get that as well. His down to earth style of writing and the fact that he narrated both of them on audible is worth every penny.“Hail to the king!”And a tip of the glass to Bubba Ho-Tep, wherever he is...

If You're Unfamiliar With "The Bulgarian Box of Chocolates" then, Hail To The Chin is a MUST READ!
Such a delightful read!!! I especially enjoy the "play on words" that is present throughout the book. What a life Bruce Campbell shares not only in his work but some lovely disclosures of life with his family and friends. Of course, full disclosure here - the fact that Craig Sanborn is my son-in-law makes me particularly thrilled with Hail To The Chin!! Craig did the graphics/photography as well as some of the writing. I do wish that the graphics were a bit larger for they are quite funny. So, Long Live the Chin!Mary Ann Fischer

Bruce Campbell is as honest as he is fun to read
This is the sequel to Bruce’s original memoir, If Chins Could Kill that as written 15 years ago. This book takes up his life and career from the point where he is happily settled in southern Oregon and proceeds to entertain and educate about his life in small towns as well as the ups and downs of a working character actor. He’s honest, down to earth and most of all has a huge loyalty to his friends and workmates.I couldn’t put the book down and I’d love to meet this curmudgeon teddy bear.

The "B" King and I
I have been a fan from the start, with Evil Dead, and have thoroughly enjoyed his work, film or type, whenever I found it. Thankfully, with ebooks and streaming services, I can revisit as much as I like. This is one of those books that I will be adding to that list. The history of his craft is spellbinding to me, as a fellow actor. This motivates me to do more and to keep a chin up when I get edited out of a film or my lines cut (which isn't too bad), or I don't get the job. Thanks to the King for sharing the continuation (Act Three in the works, Bruce?) of his story and artcraft. All hail the mighty Chin!

Still the king!
Bruce Campbell's first book "If Chins Could Kill" is kind of the gold standard for me as far as celebrity autobiographies, and this book is a follow up that really lives up to that standard. Bruce writes in a way that makes it feel like he is sharing stories over a beer. He is able to find a good mix of relatable stuff that anyone would be interested in and in depth behind the scenes stuff about movie-making that I really appreciate. He also isn't afraid to share stories that might make him look bad. Some of the parts I really liked were his trip to US army bases in Iraq to visit service people, how salary negotiations during Burn Notice led to his own tv movie, and his adjusting to life in rural Oregon. The book ends with the launch of Ash vs Evil Dead and I kind of wish it had gone on a bit further since I know there were some conflicts during season 2 between the showrunner and a producer, so it would be interesting to get Bruce's take on that. But overall it was a great book. It was 15 years between his first book and this one, and I really hope we don't have to wait that long for the next one.

Very funny, interesting and an all around good read
Bruce Campbell writes well. He chronicles the struggles of breaking into the entertainment business with tact, intelligence and a warm good humour that makes his continuing journey through the b-list a must read for anyone that wants to know how it's done. I'm hopeful there will be more stories to come, I've enjoyed everything he's written so far and am looking forward to anything further. Good job, Bruce! Tell us more!
