A real experience - just reading it
It was one of those books I couldn't put down until I'd read it. As an experienced life coach myself, I find the more coaching one does the more spiritual it becomes. This is because you are dealing with an individual's core beliefs and values. Andy Grant's experiences described here reinforce my own belief that one does not have to spend 20 years on a mountain top to have enlightened experiences. Here is but one way to consciously decide to make that happen. The author's experiences are described in significant detail and in a way that you are taken on the journey of personal growth and transformation with him. If you are into exploring your own spirituality and personal growth, I won't say it's a "must read", but I will recommend you do read this together with other material for balance. But if you know people with depression, this book could really help them.

A good experiential account of Holotropic Breathwork
Andy Grant's account of his personal experiences with Holotropic Breathwork is enjoyable, readable and informative. It helped me to approach my first Holotropic Breathwork experience with a higher degree of comfort and anticipation. (I did not have experiences similar to the author's; apparently the process does not "work," as described in Grant's book or in Dr. Grof's books, for each and every person who tries it.)

Really interesting
His Holotropic Breathwork Workshop experiences are fantastic! This is the only book I found (so far) for a look inside the workshop experience.

A great introduction through story
This really was a great set of stories that clearly show how holotropic breath work happens and some of the effects of the practice. Certainly has made me want to give this a try myself at a workshop, and I’ll probably be looking them up soon.

Great description of an experience in breathing.
Andy manages to describe and share deep experiences that are difficult to put in words...I appreciate hi is way because it is motivating for others to share in the bliss. Thanks a lot

Impressive and Unique
This is a useful method to enhance spirituality, and balance mind, body, spirit. I enjoyed reading it, and gleaned some good tips on how to improve meditation through breathing.

Unimpressed!
My impression is that Grant is an old druggie who broached this subject in an unhealthy manner. While it may have helped him a lot in the long run, others would do well to look to a healthy approach to this wonderful art.

A very enlightening book
This book answered all the questions I had plus a lot more.Recommended reading for anybody wondering what this is all about.

Decent but no information
Good book it is a decent read but no information about technique . It is a good motivation to learn about the technique though
