This mantle looks great in my living room! I did not have one previously so this mantle really pulls the room together. My mantle arrived well before the expected arrival date, but the shipper left the package at my front door in the rain. Thankfully the mantle was not damaged. I thought the small piece of wood used to mount the pieces was too flimsy. But my handyman said it would work just fine, and it did. It was not flushed against the wall so we added a little caulking around the edges. I would suggest this mantle to anyone. Great mantle at a really good price.

Horrible directions, but ended up being much easier once I watched a YouTube tutorial. Like others, I hate the slant but well worth the $$! The company should TRULY make it easier by labeling which side to mount to wall vs side to mount to mantel piece. Otherwise, I would def buy again! There WAS a slight crack on mine as well, but an easy fix also! My daughter and I put up and felt great! 2chics n a drill! 2" wood screws, level , drill and stud finder were all the tools needed!

Love the product. Very well built, heavy. Just what I wanted. The measurements in the diagram did not represent well. I checked and double checked my measurements, ordered the one that was 4” larger all around. When delivered it was 10” too small all around.Customer Service said they would not allow a return or money back. So……

My husband and I installed this with no problems. The biggest hold up was getting the confirmation from the county on the code for location above our fireplace insert. It arrived in very secure packaging with no damage at all. It's very good quality and we're really happy with it.

VERY poor quality control on Pearl mantle products. Do not waste your time or money on this brand or their products. I ordered this during a whole house reno and stored the shipped box without opening. Six months later when reno completed I opened the factory sealed box and was shocked to see large cracks and substantial damage on the mantel - including a completely botched paint job. Thankfully Amazon gave me credit and shipped another one no charge even though it was six months later. The next one arrived and it is damaged also - just not as bad and differently. This time the entire bottom panel is not attached/adhered to the mantle and there are smaller cracks on the sides. This time I plan to just do manual repairs and re-paint the thing myself so it is presentable enough to hang on the newly finished fireplace. The short is that there are clearly NO quality control on Pearl products or they would not ship in such unbelievably poor condition. For a product that is priced this high one would expect AT LEAST they would arrive in a condition ready to hang with no obvious and gross defects and a decent painted finish.

It’s a great mantle and exactly how it was described! Easy to install except it didn’t have any hardware. Which was a bummer as we live out on a ranch and wasn’t easy to improvise. But we did. Other then that, it’s great!
