Mr. Beams MB312 Wireless LED Mini Spotlight with Motion Sensor and Photocell, 80-Lumens, Brown, 2-Pack

The MB302 is very nice. It is easy to install and the sensors work great. The light is bright but I wish it could of been a little bit brighter (first time buyer). For the price I am not going to complain. Maybe next time I will try the MB330.This was my first time trying out a battery operated motion light and Mr. Beams units are really cool. Well at least I think so. I plan on buying many more of their products to light up my property. The fact that I do not have to bury wire to get power to the area where I want light is great.One thing to keep in mind at least on this model is that it turns on by motion and when the motion is gone it shuts off in about 30 seconds. If you need a light to work on something outdoors that is going to stay on all the time, you might want to consider something different.Thanks for reading my review.UPDATE 1/24/2015The lights are still working great. I just wanted to give some feedback on my experience with battery life thus far. Keep in mind that it is winter here in Michigan. The copper top batteries I use are alkaline, alkaline batteries perform rather poor in colder temperatures. Alkaline batteries are engineered with a water based electrolyte. A temperature near, at, or below the freezing point can lead to reduced ion mobility which slows down the chemical reactions that provide electrical battery power. The battery in other words could perform poorly and may prematurely fail.That was probably a little more than you wanted to read and I am sorry about that.I have had the same batteries in both units for 3 months, and they both are working just like the first day that I installed them. The lights are being set off all the time whether by myself, the children, my dog. Or stray cats.So this long update concludes that the battery life for me is outstanding. Three months of heavy use, and two of those months were winter months. Batteries are still going strong. I am hoping for another 3 plus months.Thanks for reading my update.

Very Nice substitution for wiring a real motion detector. I put one in a car port that has no electricity and it works great. I use a few inside the house for dark spots and they work flawlessly.Pro's-Water ProofWell built all aroundLight stays on for perfect timing to get job done but prolong battery life.Sensor works perfectly, and only comes on with motion and in dark..Portable and small enough to put anywhere.Cons, this will not light up a room like a regular light bulb would. The light is a white colder light that has about 1/2 the light coming off it as a regular light bulb. Similar to a regular flashlight.Plastic brace housing, it would be stronger if metal was used like many other motion detectors.Can't see how to replace LED, but cheap enough so you could just buy a new one after the LED burns out.The battery housing seams to hold well in the light housing, however it doesn't screw in or snap in, it just pushes into the housing and is held there by tightness. IMO this is a design flaw, but is a small issue IMO.

I am updating this after owning these guys for two years. I bought this style and another and have a total of four on the corners of my house. I am just now changing the batteries on one. One of the other style seems to be coming on randomly and may be getting ready to die, based on other reviews. All in all, I am super happy with them as I live nearly in the Canadian border of Michigan and the winters are very dark....when I walk around the house to shovel or whatever, they light up and I can see. I have some over the doors too to my garage and back door so anyone approaching would make it go on....including my dogs, myself or a neighbor. It was very easy to change the batteries and I think it’s the only time I have.....so now I will need to check the other ones. Some reviews show degrading plastic....mine are under the eaves and not in direct sun so it has not been a problem. I may buy a couple more....the price is right and I am perfect happy with these.**************I bought these for the corners around my house and they work great. If you are moving around, they come on and light the perfect path without sending light into bedrooms or to neighbors. Easy to install and change batteries.

Surprisingly sturdy and solidly made, good motion detection, quite good light, adjustable direction, put it on exterior wall, stand it on the walkway, put it in a flower-bed. I'm docking it a star because while the battery-case unscrews smoothly, I found the actual battery-holder frustratingly hard to pry open -- it could easily be better-designed while staying secure. Also -- I have four of these and there's a slight but noticeable difference among them in detection and brightness, altho as mentioned, all are good. So far they seem to hold up to rain. I'm happy.

Bought a larger Mr. Beams for my front door several years ago, it worked perfectly and still does.I decided I needed more, some at front of the house for my cars and down the side of my house to the side gate. Went to go for slightly less Lumen/brightness as I didn't want it quite so dazzling as the front door one.These work perfectly, small enough to be somewhat hidden until lit, they are just the right amount of sensitive to movement, they only work after dark (so battery use minimal). They spotlight my vehicles and the side of the house just the right amount.Personally, the 80 lumen brightness seems good. The older larger brighter one at my front door would have been somewhat blinding aimed at the street.Excellent product.

I think with most outdoor products and especially lights, half the battle is longevity. I've had so many good products that just can't last a winter or 2 or they just gradually start to fail. These lights are the real deal.After almost 4 years these lights are still going strong. I've replaced the batteries just before each winter kicks in so that I have bright lights for the winter. I'm just going to fit my latest set and to be honest the existing batteries from last year are still giving off a decent light but for peace of mind I will replace them anyway.Sensor is still perfect, light is perfect, no moisture, no hassle, easy to install and take down to replace batteries and put back in place.I actually came on today to purchase some additional lights and see they are no longer available on Amazon. Absolutely gutted. If they ever bring them back I'll be first in line!

I installed 2 of these outside over my garbage cans in early November at the start of the winter. After dusk, they quickly light up the area really well. I recently had to change the batteries at the end of March. These work better than expected, are easy to install and look good.
