Made me sleepy right away!
*UPDATE Both bulbs still working after 2 years! Daily use!For years we had an energy saving regular bulb in the bedroom on the bedside table. My wife said she wanted something softer and after switching to a traditional bulb we still found the light harsh. This bedtime bulb does exactly what it advertises, makes me sleepy when I'm reading in the bedroom. Packaged well, shipped quickly and looking forward to years of use out of these.

Bought one, then bought 3 more.
Bedtime Bulb delivers crisp light that is warm and welcoming. It's bright enough to read a book or like me, hang out on your phone, but also not so bright that I need to dim it to watch TV. And although the bulb looks pretty yellow, I find that it doesn't give everything in my room a yellow tinge. I don't know how they did that.Admittedly, I was skeptical. But I've been reading about blue light, and I use flux on my computer and night time mode on my phone. So I figured, why not?It actually does help me fall asleep! Sometimes with all the lights on. I bought one to start, but then I immediately bought 3 more for all my bedroom lamps, because once you get it, the other bulbs seem obnoxiously bright. If you're on the fence like I was, I'd try it out. Totally worth it.

The Bedtime Bulb is almost indistinguishable from 25W Incandescent.
I have always used a 25W incandescent light in my bedroom. Because I am an anti-blue rich LED activist, I decided to purchase this bulb to see if it was really like an incandescent. I have been fighting blue-rich light for three years through my Facebook Group "Ban Blinding LEDs" and I have not found a "warm" LED that truly is warm...until now. I was skeptical and did not like the price, but was assured 5 years of use. I bought it and almost wanted to shout with joy because it looks and feels like an incandescent bulb. The light from the Bedtime Bulb is gorgeous. It does take time to achieve full brightness, but I just turn it on and go brush my teeth and it is perfect for reading. I bought the regular size bulb. It's given me much hope that we will soon be rid of 1st generation overly bright blue-rich lights that are popping up everywhere. Please know all blue-rich white colored LEDs are harming everything, including you. All are welcome to view the content in our group without joining. For transparency, a group member did reach out to the inventor of this bulb and he has graciously joined to help us understand how lights work and why these new LED streetlights, headlights and home security lights are so invasive, harsh and glaring. I have only praise for lighting experts working to turn this blue light trend around. I highly encourage you to try this bulb. You will be amazed and you will save the precious energy we are all striving to save for the sake of our planet. (I cannot rate longevity or value until I see that it does in fact have a long life. I have faith it will.)UPDATE: It turns out that there is zero delay in the Bedtime Bulb turning on instantaneously. It was just on my bedroom lamp, on all others it turns on immediately. It is now my desk lamp.

They really work and have been lifesavers!
My kids are afraid of the dark- like really afraid- and nightlights weren’t cutting it. They wanted something that was brighter but I was worried about their sleep being subpar with regular light bulbs being on throughout their sleep cycle. I know these lightbulbs aren’t made to be on all night, but I was desperate for something for my kiddos as an alternative to regular lightbulbs on all night and these did the trick. They illuminate the room well so they aren’t afraid, but they are able to fall and stay asleep easily with them on and they wake up very well rested. We’ve been using them for a couple months now and they’ve been life savers. I’m so thankful!

I wish I could give this 6 stars
You can actually leave this light on in the room while sleep.Melatonin is what makes us sleepy. And blue light keeps us from making Melatonin. Some lights bulbs appear red but really have a fair amount of blue in them that our eyes' rods cannot see, but the ganglion cells in our eyes do see. There has been a fair amount of research on this: Google, "ipRGC" "Melanopsin" "photoentrainment."Much better than a night light because it is bright enough to use as a light during daytime. I've had this for about a week and I plan to place them all around the house and leave them on, so at night there is always some light, but never the color that can keep you awake at night.

perfect bulb for my bedroom
As person who struggles with sleep, i'm careful about what light i use at night. The Bedtime Bulb is the first LED replacement bulb i've found to provide 'biologically correct' and beautiful light. I purchased six which i'm now using in our bedrooms. At night I try to avoid/minimize my exposure to blue light, from screens and from lights in my home. I use f.lux on my computer and Nightshift on my phone. Unfortunately most LED bulbs (even 'warm-white products) emit too much blue light to be used safely at night. In the bedrooms or our house i have been forced to use old/inefficient incandescent bulbs since they don't emit much blue light -- but this costs me time and money (higher power bill & frequent bulb replacements). I was very excited to learn about the Bedtime bulb product, promising light with a better spectrum, and flicker-free. I've tried a couple of the other 'night-time' bulb products on the market, but they use different technology (to block the blue) which delivers a very poor quality of light = i don't want my bedrooms to be filled with light which is biologically optimized but ugly!? The Bedtime bulb is the first LED replacement bulb i've seen which delivers an incandescent-like spectrum. The only thing to keep in mind is that this bulb only puts out 350 lumens which is just over half the light of a conventional 60W bulb (so i use two in the overhead fixtures in my bedroom to provide enough light to read by). The Bedtime bulb is the first LED bulb i've found which delivers light which is energy-efficient, biologically correct and beautiful!

Bought two of them for my kids...
I bought a bulb for each of my two kids table lamps. Neither bulb worked, they both only came to a barely visible shimmer. They were delivered during a deep freeze in Calgary, so not sure if that contributed. Greg at Simplebulb was extremely fair in the return process and really exceeded my expectations in terms of follow up and customer service. We have two working bulbs now, it's a nice soft light, and they are the right level of brightness that the kids can leave them on and still sleep if they forget to turn them off. We're very happy with the bulbs and probably even moreso with Simplbulb's customer service.

An excellent all-round bulb, perfect for headache sufferers
This bulb is a superb product. The combination of low blue colour and fast 120 Hz flicker rate makes this light the only suitable bedside LED bulb for headache relief for concussion sufferers that I could find, and now that I have recovered, I would never use anything else. My first impression was that I loved the colour, but the bulb was a just touch too bright for my eyes. I contacted the company and they recommended a dimmer. In combination with the Lutron Caseta Plug-in Lamp Dimmer Switch (B00JJY1QG0), I now have the perfect bedside lamp that I feel is well worth the cost.

These work great. I bought four
The bulbs have a great amber glow. A visitor wouldn't really notice anything unusual about them. But they're 2200K, and low on blue light. I use them to read at night, they've helped my sleep. Just bought a couple more so I can switch my living room lamps to them.Am hoping they'll come out with even more socket lights so I can change more fixtures.

Had to write about this light
You know you are old when you are writing an excellent review about an expensive lightbulb. But its literally the perfect light for a light on your bedside table to give off the perfect warm vibes you need. Not too bright, but bright enough to read, etc. and a really warm glow. Expensive but worth it.

A must if you want to reduce blue light on the evening!
I heard of this bulb in a HackerNews thread about light pollution some time ago and figured I would try it and I'm glad I did. It is much warmer that other "warm white" LED bulbs you'll find in hardware stores, but not super bright, which is a good thing, especially around the evening/night time. I'm trying to reduce my exposure to blue light around bed time and this bulb is perfect for that. It produces a very cozy ambiance that I enjoy very much and I plan on replacing all my bulbs with this.
