Great Student Instrument
This is the second unit we have purchased (two children playing saxophone now). The product is an excellent quality saxophone and the kids love playing them. We have had only minor issues that are consistent with normal use. Even a small repair (a dent) went smoothly.

Great for the price!
Great product for the price. My son began band this year and being only 12 yrs old, I didn't want to spend a fortune (just in case he decides not to play next year.) It came with a great case that can be worn like a backpack. The strap was thin and not padded so we did purchase a separate, more durable strap but other than that this is a great buy for any beginner!

Perfect and my kid loves it
Perfect and my kid loves it. Also, the case is really nice and it's different from the school "rented" ones, so there won't be any confusion which Sax is my kids.

Save your money
I had to return the sax because it was defective, still they charged me $350 re stocking fee. Highly unfair. Sax is made in China.

Love this Machine
Got it about year ago. Wonderful sound, very tight and smooth mechanics,all works still the same way as year ago. Playing it 2-3 hours daily.Always wipe the horn to keep it clean and in good shape.Exercise in 3 car garage. Sounds like Mark VI ))))

It appears to be a great instrument for a beginner, however I thought the instrument would be new one.

Made in China with Conn-Selmer Name
First of all I give 5 Stars for the Seller (Springdale Music). I had to deal with them for over 3 months but they never failed to provide me with the outstanding customer service & professional courtesy.I was looking for a student Alto Sax for my 6th grader son. We got tired of renting and decided to look for one w/reasonable price.But I am on my way to return this model for the second time.The first one had seroius leaks and the second one as well (damaged while enroute).You get what you pay for.I recommend that you save some more $$ and buy something more reputable and well made.

Good instrument for beginners.
Pro:1) Good mechanical assembly, lacquer and overall quality.2) Convenient packaging.Cons:1) Original mouthpiece is really hard to play. I had to buy new one "Selmer Golden Tone 3" which is really nice to play.2) The tone is not uniform in all registers. This problem can be partially compensated by mastering playing skill.This is excellent instrument for its price. I remove one star because of mouthpiece but it is rather individual.
