Jessica Jones Vol. 3: Return of the Purple Man (Jessica Jones (2016-2018))

I really like the philosophical path and reasoning in JJ’s dealings with the purple dude… and the last simple case and happy ending… too perfect for words.Happy to have met you Jessica Jones! Stay awesome.

I've been a fan of Jessica Jones since her ALIAS beginnings. I couldn't imagine a better end to this arc of her story with surprises and a feeling of completeness.

I have every single Jessica Jones volume and I have to say this is pretty weak. First of all it is virtually pure dialogue. It has some nice artwork but the storyline is lacking. Jessica, Carol Danvers and the Purple Man ramble on in pretty inane conversation. The ending is about as anti-climatic as it gets. I'm a fireman and I've had better conversations after a day of nothing happening than this "adventure".

Jessica Jones is life

Bendis and Gaydos end their Jessica Jones series pretty definitively. The book has all the Bendis staples: never-ending dialogue, sarcasm, and gut-wrenching moments and I really enjoyed it. The series is sadly ending here but a complete story was told. I'm unsure how I feel about Carol's involvement in the ending, or at least how she dealt with it. It was shocking. Also, a big moment isn't explained. Michael Gaydos continues to pump out glorious Jessica Jones-type panels and they're great. Overall, while not perfect still a tremendous read.

The Return of the Purple Man. The opening pages features Killgrave at a Sea World type of attraction where he requests the other patrons to “Get out.” I would have been OK if the story ended there but of course it doesn’t. Lots of conversation between Killgrave and Jessica. I found the ending to be a little contrived. Note: I think there’s still a Purple Girl somewhere in the Marvel Universe. Jessica, are you listening?More fun was the plight of Daisy Schilling, girlfriend to The Armadillo. Sweet sidebar about a lady and the super-villain she loves and her attempts to help him with Jessica’s aid.
