The Unfinished Nation: A Concise History of the American People 7th Edition

I am reading this book for the third time in about 25 years. It is the best summary I jave found of the trends and events that comprise the history of the United States.

Arrived as promised and in promised condition. Rental. The text itself, however, I did not like as a history book at all. I am a well-educated and well-read person and I had trouble following this one. It jumped from one president to the next and back again without including dates or other ways of figuring out where you were in a historical context and most chapters left me without the knowledge I should have had when finished. It also totally avoided the Holocaust in the historical content and I have a major issue with that. When the professor has to provide a lot of outside reading for you to get the information you need, it is not a good textbook.

Well written and interesting. Well organized. Excellent over view without the traditional bias give in textbooks. Perfect for unexpected homeschooling.

The book itself is just class mandated paper. The problem I had, was buying it used. I paid about what I would have paid in the college bookstore (except they were out) and this book is falling apart. I mean, it gets the job done but a page fell out and others are not far behind. Keep that in mind when ordering used.

The quality was excellent, an older version of the newest textbook that my class required, VERY little / hardly noticable difference. Much cheaper.

Livre passionnant sur l'histoire des Etats-Unis. Dommage qu'il soit arrivé avec les coins tout abîmés. Vu le prix, c'est tout de même décevant…
