The light requires decorative bulbs. Well, since I'm already DEEP in the Hie eco-system, this is what made sense for me. So the 8 Edison style Hue bulbs were almost $350!!! So Total for this fixture and the bulbs needed to make it looks nice was almost $500!!! Yikes! I'm redoing my kitchen, so thats why I'm justifying it. Looks awesome and can give off literally blinding light and so you are also required to tone/customized the light temperature, and in order to have things correct/consistent and easy peasy like it should be, plan on buying a Hue dimmer switch or two for the walls. Yep, not as cheap as it looks, but it's super nice in every way if setup appropriately.

Remodeled all white kitchen with satin bronze handles and this modern light is a nice look. Used 60w LED clear bulbs with filament showing. Plenty of light over island & small kitchen. Like that bulbs are easy to change without having to deal with shades, etc.

This is a little flimsy but you can't tell once it's installed. I really wanted to brighten up a dining area so I bought the "daylight" Edison bulbs. Holy surgical room!! This was so incredibly bright I had my electrician install a dimmer switch which helped but ultimately I ended up going with a "regular" bulb that has the ability to adjust to a softer white. If you want bright - this is definitely the fixture for you! At this price point it doesn't feel like a lifetime commitment but it looks really modern and definitely updated the space.

I moved to a new place that only had 8ft ceilings, so my old chandelier wouldn't work. I got this semi-flush sputnik light and have been very impressed with how well it looks, it sits very flush, so if you're looking for a flush modern looking light on a low ceiling this is your best best!

Purchased this for an older condo with lower ceiling height (under 8 feet). Since it’s a semi flush mount it worked perfectly and looks great. Make sure to get some good quality LED bulbs and a dimmer and you’ll be happy with the amount of light it gives off. Contemporary, clean look

I bought this fixture based on another review. The reviewer said if you want to perform surgery this is the fixture for you. He was right! I like bright light in the kitchen and this fixture delivers. I installed a dimmer switch to have the option. Easy to install. I used zip ties to hold it in place while I wired it. It took longer to remove the old fixtures then to install the new.

This light fixture does exactly was it says, will hold bulbs. I have this in the kitchen with 100 watt bulbs and its bright as heck.
