LOVE IT
I just LOVE this palette. The colors stay juicier in it than in the plastic one.The color puddles spread nicely without any beading. It is VERY heavy, and VERY large, but perfect for studio work. I am not sure I placed the strip of foam on the cover correctly, because it won't really close. I don't really care about the top at all, half the time I leave it off.I recommend this palette to any one who is looking for a nice sturdy studio palette.

Great packaging
This review is based on the product's packaging; I will update after using it. The palette arrived in a sturdy box within which the palette itself is held in place with two Styrofoam blocks. The lid is plastic and a roll of insulating tape is included to stick to the inner lip of the lid to make it close snugly when closed. There is also a paper from Tom Lynch giving tips on color placement and other information about using the palette. So far I'm very impressed with the packaging and the perfect condition of the heavy palette upon arrival.

It is well designed with plenty of space to mix colours as well as a free video on YouTube to show you how to best use this palette most effectively
This is the water colour palette to end all palettes. It is well designed with plenty of space to mix colours as well as a free video on YouTubeto show you how to best use this palette most effectively. I am sure anyone buying this product will only improve their skill in mixing colour. A product well worth the cost designed by an artist who knows what is important. As Tom Lynch says in his video he designed this palette so the artist has fewer challenges to overcome in the creative process.

Porcelain palette for studio
Non staining, but require dedicated table real estate and cannot be taken for travel. Alas.

Heavy duty for studio use
Amazing palette for studio use. Nice and big, and very sturdy. Arrived well packed and protected. I held off buying due the cost but in the end was very glad I got it. Definitely worth the money.

could have been a lot better for $75.50
I have been painting and selling my watercolor paintings since 1980. I absolutely love painting on porcelain, and this is the best porcelain palette I have found so far. That said, there are a few drawbacks. The lid is not tight, and don't even bother putting the foam tape on. The tape is too short to go around and it doesn't work well anyway. I suggest putting a damp sponge in the center of the palette to keep your paints from drying out and put the cover back on.My palette came with some porcelain paint missing on one of the paint wells, and also wobbles a bit if too much pressure is applied, but it is stable enough to use with watercolors. Being a perfectionist, I wouldn't have put my name on this...but I'm not Tom Lynch.

Nice Big palette but not pure white color, it is slightly grayish palette.
Sure it is a huge big palette for our heart content but for this price range it could have been a pure white ceramic. That is the only disappointment. Not for travel purposes but for permanent table top asset. The lid is a plus. I really want to know am i the only one getting this slightly grayish palette? Pl someone let us know your opinion about this issue. Thank you.
