Fun With Grandkids
My (just turned) 5 year old grandson loves Boulder and all his co-bots. I am amazed that this concept is so engaging. Even his 3 year old sister wants in on the game. They make up "missions" and change off who is the "leader". It is very imaginative. Together we made "fire" by cutting red scraps from a magazine and gluing them on another piece of paper which we "hid". Then we crumpled up small pieces of paper to look like boulders and piled them. Heatwave and Boulder had big jobs putting out the fire and clearing the road. They always say "nanie, will you play transformers with me?" What could be better?!?

3 yr old made it look easy
This was a gift for 3 years old grandson. It is perfect size for his hands. Showed him one time how to transform, he kept playing with it all day. Still picks it up and plays with it.

Favorite rescue bot rescan
Gift for toddler. One of the smaller "rescans", boulder the dump truck is honestly probably my favorite so far. Compact, tight vehicle mode true to the original (love that the dump bed become his oversized feet!)

Could latch better
The media could not be loaded. My 3 yo grandson has three of these — Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and this green construction bot. It transforms into a dump truck. No problems with the other two. They are simple enough for him transform back and forth. This green truck, however, gives us trouble. When transforming into the truck, the bot’s head does not want to stay down and closed, which is supposed to latch the truck together. And it’s a little frustrating. Other than that, he is happy having a little set of three (purchased separately) and all three of them seem sturdy enough for a toddler.

Hard to transform, would buy different brand
The head won't go down on this one very well, so my 3.5 year old is constantly frustrated and asking us to do it for him. It's held there with two tiny pieces. We ended up buying a similar Boulder that he likes much more - the one with the blue shooter thing. So for the same price, I'd go with the other one (which we also found on Amazon).

Not the easiest to transform to a truck
A bit hard for little (even 4 year olds) to transform from robot to truck. The arms need to be squized together in order to transform it and at the same time you need to squeeze one bit into the other (trying not to trap your fingers) and squeeze enough to "lock" it in or risk for arms to come out again. But oldest one (5 years old) figured it out after a few tries.Just a tad annoying if your child comes to you every 2 minutes asking you to transform it into a truck! But our kids still love to play with it.
