Old Hickory 7-10" Butcher

It arrived on time. it is an official old hickory just like the one bbq pit boys use. Good quality steel. Got what I expected. Huge in size. Cuts meet easily

You wouldn't know it by looking at the pictures here on Amazon, but this knife has great heft, feels good in the hand, and comes razor sharp. Point of balance is about 1 3/4" in front of the handle. For the knife nerds, this has a full length saber grind, with no ricaso or bolster. While affordable, this knife feels quite sturdy.

Nice carbon steel knife. The nice thing about the Old Hickory is it is not fancy. Yes, it will rust, but that is the beauty of this knife. It cuts very well and is easy to sharpen. for the price, you cannot beat this knife. I have several.

Buyer beware, this is not a knife you would want to use for kitchen purposes. The carbon steel blade is very prone to rust…meaning you will need to dry and oil after every cleaning or use otherwise it is ruined.
