Pretty good - strike zone could be a bit better.
I ordered this net to give my son a chance to practice his pitching when I’m not able to catch for him. Overall it works pretty well for what it’s intended for. Construction is solid and materials are good quality and heavy-duty enough for our use. My son likes being able to practice on his own. There are some things to consider with this product. First is the “strike zone”, unless your child is over 12 or 13 it’s going to be a little on the high side, especially if you place it behind a plate where the catcher would normally be. Not a huge deal but just something to be aware of. This next one could be a good, or a bad thing, but the net really isn’t very wide. My son “passes” balls by it on a regular basis. If you’re wanting him/her to know when they’ve really missed the mark it gives good feedback, but if you have anything behind it that you don’t want to get hit with a ball, you might be a risk for damage. Finally, I wish set up and take down were faster when using this at a practice, but it’s still pretty good overall. I’m probably being picky with a 4 star rating but for me this would be a perfect product if the strike zone wasn’t so high, the net was a little wider and it came down faster.

Big target
This net is slightly more complicated to set up and tear down than my previous baseball net, but it is also very big, and very stable. It's also not too complex, and the more often we use the net, the faster we get.I appreciated the absence of hooks--that make storage easy since there's nothing the poke or catch on the bag. The pieces all fit nicely into the bag and is not heavy at all.The first couple of times we assembled this, the poles were a bit tight--I was concerned I might snap them when looping the net onto them. But, they didn't break, and now seem to have more flexibility. The net gives a nice, large area for batting, throwing, or pitching practice. It is light enough to move easily when fully assembled, too. The included ground anchors are simple and thin, but seem to be effective. I didn't notice any movement of the net at all when using it without the anchors, but I think the anchors would be useful on a windy day, or aybe with a hard hitter. The MLB logos are also a little plus for this net.

Perfect
This net is perfect for practicing baseball stuff in the backyard. we happen to have a very narrow yard, so I set up my son’s batting tee and he can hit right into the net without issue. Because the height and width is 7 feet, there’s been no risk of him accidentally launching a ball into the neighbors yard. Granted it’s not a permanent solution for us but it was an option I was happy to try.For throwing the net is great. The wide pouch in the net is great and also allows for quick pickup. I throw a box down and just use the net to dump the baseballs into the box.Taking it apart is not super fast so I don’t see this as a portable net. We leave it in the yard and will store it over the winter in the bag that it comes in. I guess if I took it apart and put it together multiple times I’d be able to do it fast. This is a bug, stable, well made net that would also work with softballs though not golf balls.

This net is BIG, it's 7 feet x 7 feet when erected and it's strong and sturdy, not a "kiddie set" this is the real deal. It takes the really fast balls with ease and catches them safely for easy retrieval. I set this up so the kids wouldn't end up chasing the baseball across the road which is always a hazard and it has been a dream, they have not run out of the yard to catch a ball since I set it up so that is one worry I no longer have. The "big kids" wanted to try it out too and they tried their best to be rough with those fast balls and it took them like a champ, I am very impressed. It's easy to put up but takes a few minutes and I suggest 2 people- I don't see how one person could do it alone. It comes with stakes and everything you need so you can just set it up and it's ready to go. When you want to take it down it folds back up into a bag with a zipper and it fits in the bag pretty easily, usually once it's out it's impossible to fit something back in once it's out.. not this one because it does go back in. Great item 4 stars.

It ripped within the first 10 throws from a 10yo starting pitcher.
My son is going to be a pitcher this year so we grabbed this for our backyard so we can hopefully prevent having to hop the neighbors fence to retrieve too many balls. It took about 15 minutes to put up the first time since my husband didn't think he needed the instructions (LOL) but turns out he did. Then my son started pitching. He's only 10 so its not like he has a super fast or strong pitch, but within 10 throws one of the fabric connector pieces ripped off! I'm not sure if this thing is going to last through the season if that happened within the first few minutes...You probably want to stake it down, too. We didn't and it tipped over a few times (not sure if it was from the light breeze or some of the pitches?). Thankfully it's light enough to quickly set back up, but I think I'd like it more if it was just a bit heavier. That said, it does it's job well enough. All the balls fall into a pocket at the base and they are easy to gather up.

Puts together quick and super helpful in a small yard...
While you can certainly use this as a pitching net, it also works really well as a batting net as well. In order to do this, you'll likely also need a batting tee. My little leaguer hasn't gotten a lot of play this year (for obvious social distancing reasons) but this net set has helped to keep his batting skills sharp. I love that this is quick to put up and quick to take down - and when you do, it fits nice and snug in a small and sturdy zip-bag. We did happen to leave it out overnight once and the wind was enough to knock it down (we, maybe obviously, didn't use the anchors that it came with that night). If you're going to keep this around in your yard, you might even invest in a couple of sand bags to put on top of it for those especially windy days. Altogether, love this net!
