Holds key to the book of revelation
There are numerous interpretations to the various chapters in the book of the apocalypse, but surely none is more convincing than is Father Kramer's. The reason for Kramer's success in deciphering and unlocking the mysteries of the book is his own enormous knowledge of sacred scripture, especially of the old testament, his knowledge of both hebrew and greek, and his knowledge of the teaching of the fathers of the church. He specially refers to the interpretations of some spiritual descendents of St John who lived within a century after his death and were in a better position to know the teaching of the apostle with regards some of the mysteries of the book. Father Kramer is able to decipher the meaning of many of the symbols and prophecies used in the apocalypse by direct inference to various passages of the old testament which contain these same symbols and prophecies. He shows how the apocalypse is like a summary of Church history since the first coming of Christ and, since the Church carries the world on its shoulders, whatever happens in the Church has direct bearing for the rest of the world. Interestingly, the author suggest we may be living through the events described in the 9th chapter, after the apostasy of Luther and the protestant revolution described earlier in the chapter, "And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star [Martin Luther] fall from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit." (Apocalypse 9:1) In this same chapter is described the advent of the third world war: "And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet: and I heard a voice from the four horns of the great altar, which is before the eyes of God, saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet: Loose the four angels, who are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year: for to kill the third part of men." (Apocalypse 9:13-15) It seems to me that since the writing of Kramer's book, we have proceeded to these very same verses which describe the unloosening of the four angels, "who are bound in the great river Euphrates" Guess where the Euphrates river travels through? The very same location which has recently seen such an incredible amount of turmoil: Iraq and presently Syria, the latter conflict having the potential to spill into a regional conflict with the possibility of turning into a major confrontation between the major world powers. Ultimately, Father Kramer shows that the book of the Apocalypse is a book of hope and consolation for the Christian faithful, reminding them that world events are always in God's control and that all of world history serves God's purpose of bringing about Christ's reign on earth, and that the forces of darkness, no matter how great and powerful, will never prevail against the Word of God.

Lost in Revelation
The Book of Destiny starts out with considerable historical detail regarding the seven churches to which the letter of Revelation is addressed. For me, this was the best part of the book. But from then on, the book reminds me a great deal of Joseph Campbell's A Skeleton Key to Finnegans Wake: Unlocking James Joyce's Masterwork (The Collected Works of Joseph Campbell) - a valiant effort to decrypt an undecryptable tale written on the level of dream/prophetic consciousness.Nevertheless there are occasional brilliant flashes through the prophetic fog. Re Revelation chapter xii v. 4, the author writes: "The verse seems to allude to Isaiah (ix. 15-16). The tail is a symbol of lying and hypocrisy. Through false doctrines and principles, Satan will mislead the clergy, who will have become worldly-minded, haughty, hypocritical, obsequient avaricious sycophants. It seems to forebode a long period of peace, growth and temporal prosperity for the Church, so that many will enter the priesthood from bad motives. They will look to the Church to satisfy their ambition and avarice and will think it easier to gain an honorable position in the Church than in the world.... By their lax principles they will infect the laity. They will easily welcome a mitigation or change of doctrine to sanction the lukewarm lives they want to lead. Then will Satan see a rich harvest ripening for himself. The symbolic meaning of the dragon's tail may reveal that the clergy who are ripe for apostasy will hold the influential positions in the Church having won preferment by hypocrisy, deceit and flattery" (p. 281).That is, the author interprets Revelation to be foretelling, among a smorgasbord of other things, a massive apostasy from the top in Rome ("Babylon the Great"), a reality any traditional Catholic already is aware of. Since you don't need the Revelation of St. John to make you aware of this situation, you don't need this book either: "A sort of diabolical sacramental system would thus be instituted conferring the graces of Satan and consecrating people to the service of the Beast" (p. 325). "This new Rome is entirely cut off from God, is in a spiritual desert" (p. 388). See for example, Our Lady of Good Success History, Miracles & Prophecies (DVD) , Iota Unum: A Study of Changes in the Catholic Church in the Twentieth Century , and The Destruction of the Christian Tradition, Updated and Revised , .Because this eschatological book is written from a Roman Catholic perspective I appreciated it, but also had higher expectations. If you like this sort of thing, see also The Apocalypse Of St. John .

Unveiling the Mysteries of the Apocalypse
Father Bernard H. Kramer presents his interpretation of the Book of Revelation. The Apocalypse is Catholic, being written by Saint John the apostle, as proven by Father Kramer in the book. Each Chapter and Verse is analyzed. Father became interested in the Apocalypse early in his priesthood and this book is the result of thirty years of study on his part. He knew the languages involved and frequently supplies the reader with both the Greek and English words.Anna Catherine Emerich had prophesied that in the end days there would be men who would unlock the Apocalypse. This author comes through as one of them.

Many years from a great dedicated scholar
Many years from a great dedicated scholar. combine this book with the jaw dropping work ' Is the World About to End' video at vaticancatholic.com and you'll have a front row seat to Christ's Second Coming; which isn't too far off, you'll see, once you put it all together. The Book of Revelation will be understood in the end times but unfortunately not by most. Put A+B together, mentioned above and save yourself dead ends and misdirection s.

The Book of Apocalypse Explained in Detail
This book explains verse by verse the historic and biblical references made by St. John the Apostle as analyzed from the original Greek text. It begins with the rejection of the Commands of God by Satan, when St. Michael and the remaining 2/3rds of the Angels drives him out of Heaven and ends with the Final Judgement of all mankind by Christ.

THE BOOK OF DESTINY
