A surprisingly solid workspace
I'm happy to report that my pieces arrived in very good condition--there were minor cosmetic flaws, but no cracks or dents that would make me question the integrity of the desk. I was a little concerned about the state of the drawer rails, as they're slightly bent (see attached picture), but upon closer inspection I realized that's how they're meant to be and I can confirm that they work perfectly well. The assembly process went smoothly; it took an hour, maybe an hour and a half from start to finish. You'll definitely need a hammer, and I would recommend using a screwdriver other than the one that comes with the desk; it felt flimsy and seemed much worse at actually screwing things in. I completed the assembly without power tools without much difficulty, but I could see where a drill would make things easier. I did it on my own, and none of the parts were too heavy to maneuver; the most difficult part was attaching the desktop and hutch to the bottom which might take a second pair of hands. The instructions were clear, for the most part; the pictures did a good job showing where everything went. However, there were some parts of the manual which were incorrect, such as the counts for how much of each part or which connector you're to use. To my knowledge, though, the pictures were accurate, and I deferred to them when I ran into an issue with the instructions (and I wound up with a solid desk from it).As for the parts: everything is clearly labeled, mostly. Some of the stickers indicating the part number came partially scratched off, but it wasn't too hard to figure out what was what--again, the pictures were a great guide. (Later on, as it turned out, the stickers became a bit of a pain--they're hard to get off completely without any residue.) The various screws and connectors came helpfully separated, although it's worthwhile to double check the counts when you get the desk--I didn't have any issues with having too /few/ screws, but I /did/ have too many by the end of the build. I assume if they can miscount in one direction they can miscount in the other. There is a separate bag containing spare parts, but it doesn't hurt to be careful!Once everything was all set up, I was very pleased with how the desk came out. The drawer and keyboard tray work smoothly, and there's a good amount of desk space on top. The shelf they provided for the side cabinet is a little unstable, though, so I would be careful about putting too much weight or something fragile on it. All told, it's a great, compact workspace--perfect for a small apartment or dorm.

I AM ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER!
I'm not gonna rant too long, but i was hurrying up to finish assembling this desk to immediately write the review because this desk deserves more than 5* and the company deserve just as such.I'm pretty sure many of you reading this review, has been to walmart looking for cheap desks (like myself!) and have settled for one of those south shore trash, you know the type that starts to bubble if any bit of moisture hits it.If you're someone like me, who has a home office, this is the desk for you.1. The box arrived in excellent condition, foam insulation gave it extra protection from scratches and dings,2. ALL PARTS WERE THERE3. ALL HOLES WERE EXACTLY WHERE THEY SHOULD BE, AND ALIGH UP PERFECTLY!!4. THEY INCLUDED EXTRA SCREWS, NUTS, PLUGS ETC. INCASE YOU LOOSE ONE, WHICH I DID AND THEN EVENTUALLY STEPPED ON IT HIDDEN IN MY CARPET.5. THEY INCLUDED A SMALL MINI SCREW DRIVED, CHEAP BUT STILL WORKS WHICH WAS VERY THOUGHTFUL, THIS IS GREAT BECAUSE IF YOU MISPLACED YOUR, YOU HAVE ONE TO USE6. YOU DEFINITELY WILL NEED A HAMMER, SCREW DRIVER, AND SMALL DRILL NOTHING BIG ONE OF THOSE PERSONAL DRILLS WOULD BE GREAT LIKE I HAVE IN MY PICTURE.7. DESK TOOK ME APPROX. 1HR TO PUT TOGETHER, THIS IS BECAUSE I WAS TAKING MY TIME, DOUBLE CHECKING THE INSTRUCTIONS8. ALL PARTS ARE CLEARLY LABELED WITH LETTERS TO EASILY IDENTIFY THEM9. IT IS VERY STURDY AND OF BEYOND EXCELLENT QUALITYLAST BUT NOT LEAST, I PUT IT TOGETHER BY MYSELF, WITH NO HELP, I KNOW SOME MAY NEED HELP WHO MIGHT HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, BUT IF YOU ARE AN AVERAGE JOE, IT CAN BE PUT TOGETHER SOLO.BOTTOM LINE..... GREAT COMPANY, GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE, GREAT QUALITY, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!THANK YOU FOR READING MY REVIEW!

Affordable and pretty but a pain to assemble
+ Has a pullout keyboard tray, drawer, and adjustable shelves+ Great color and material+ Compact size great for small rooms and dorms+ Comes with bolts, screws, and a screwdriver (no hammer included)+ Just looks really good- Assembly is tedious without power tools and disassembly for transport is impractical- The grooves cut in the panels aren’t perfect and cause alignment issues when assembling the product- Some screws/bolts are difficult to insert or may be poorly threaded- Takes a long time to build without power toolsOverall: A beautiful desk with compact form without sacrificing function. However, the quality of construction and difficulty of assembly is questionable and may cause your final product to be imperfectly aligned. For the price however, it isn’t bad.

Surprisingly great desk
I've been looking for desks since I moved - browsing craigslist ads, thrift stores, and department stores. Everything I found was either too pricey for my budget ($200 +) or super simple (basically a table) made of cheap material. This desk isn't made of the finest material - but for $80 it is a steal. The materials are solid and heavy (unlike Target/Walmart furniture) and the desk looks great and has a lot of functionality - providing a good amount of work space, storage space, and even a little decorative space. It takes some time to assemble (roughly an hour) but the steps are pretty straight forward. It is a little difficult to assemble with tool provided, only because the screw driver they provide is the most non-ergonomic tool ever made and you do have to apply a good bit of pressure for some of the fixtures. But if you have your own screw driver at home, it's no problem. Overall, if you're looking for a good desk on a budget, this is definitely one of the best you'll find.
