MUAY: Submissions, Breaks & Locks of Muay Thai & Muay Boran

Definitely a must read for those who are involved in Thai Martial Arts. I've only vaguely known about Muay Boran through Movies. It all seemed like fantasy make belief ungil I've also studied Human Anatomy. Turns out it actually is a killing art compared to Boxing, which is more sports oriented.

Though the book came to printed backwards, it provided insights into the ancestry of Muay Boran movements.

Excellent book, clear and concise, it shows techniques and history behind each technique in an accesible way. Not being a Muay Boran practicioner, it has been given me a nice view on the art, beyond the powerful strikes and kicks that everyone associates with Muay Boran or Muay Thai. A highly recommended reading for Aikijujutsu practitioners that will find the similarities behind the concept of Aiki and the meaning of the term Muay very enlighting.

This book was very informative. It is a must have.

There’s a very wide variety of interesting techniques, but the pictures are crap.

This is a great book just as the other books from Master Lee. Pick them up and elevate your game.

The publication (and it is the correct publication as stated in the same day's (03/05/2018) giving myself 2-STAR rating) has arrived through the post a little after I reviewed the my mistake 2-STAR review of my adventures with my mind, if you call it that, and I am, indeed, short and dim.Looking through the MUAY book by Master Lee shows you how much work, just in terms of pictures featured in the book/manual, that Master Lee isn't called Master Lee for nothing. 5/5 Stars just for illustrating the book sharply. The whole project of producing Master Lee's book is worthy of another 5/5 STARS!So, we agree then. Master Lee's MUAY book is well over reviewing 5/5 STARS. Me? No stars at all.Buy this publication as I wrote in my earlier review. Now I can read and view it, humble pie tastes MUAY.

When I first started doing muay thai, I always assumed it was generally a striking discipline, mainly round kicks and elbows. I found it fascinating to learn about the variety of submissions and lock techniques through the book and this book itself is spectacular due to Master Lee's clear descriptions and illustrations of the techniques

This is an excellent book; but not for beginners. You would need to have existing knowledge of applying such locks, including the limitations of joints and their range of movements.

Old book but good info on the art ,interesting for Muay Boran guys and girls i let my students read it too ,,,good insight into the old system

Good reference material for some older techniques and good descriptions.
