Has all the pertinent information needed to start off with conures. Easy read and good information. This book has everything you need to understand a green cheek conure.

Very informational and covers a lot of ground! The author avoids using judgmental language when it comes to controversial topics such as whether to clip wings or not, just offers advice for both decisions. Very easy to read and is great for anyone who’s either never had a bird before or has never had a green cheek before.

Goes over lots of questions from preparing before bringing conure home to feeding to time needed to care for him.

Over all 95% of the info was top notch but I believe the author took a few liberties especially when talking personality trait difference based on color morph I found to be a wild embellishments but everything else was factually more or less accurate

One of the joys of parrot books is that it has wonderful photos of the different varieties of parrots. Stop right there cause this book has NO photos at all other than the one on the front and back cover. Has some basic conure care which is good, but I expected more. If you want an excellent book on Pyrrhura conures, the family green-cheek's belongs to, I'd highly recommend Rosemary Low's, "Pyrrhura Parakeets (Conures), Aviculture, Natural History, Conservation." You can purchase it thru Amazon.co.uk. Skip this one.
