YEASSS , This Got the Job Done ! When removing my very old drain in a heavy rain / moisture area, it separated from the cast iron pan and piping underneath. I don't think my ACE had this , or it was unreasonably priced, but got this and was able to get the drain removed. I'm keeping it for a future re-do, as I was reading through comments and noted that the drains should not be left in the tub forever, until they're a bad problem...it may be good to replace them once in a long while. This tool shall remain with me to have on hand when needed.

Delivery was fast and it worked like a charm. Although the drain was old and stuck in pretty good, with a little bit of slow pressure it loosen and unscrewed easily.

"Superior Tool" is a bit of a misnomer for this wrench. A few extra seconds spent filing off some of the sharp material, (likely left from casting?) would at least make it safe to grab the thing without gloves. Not a big deal but I'm surprised that the quality control would be so low. On to the practical side of things: it worked great for getting the tub drain out. Definitely able to handle quite a bit of force.

My tub drain was 27 years old and time to replace. Having remodeled homes a couple decades back I’ve wrestled with a few of these drains before. I tried some old tricks and the drain would not budge. I picked this item because of the 1/2” and 3/8” ratchet holes in the ends. Item arrived next day. Using a 1/2” ratchet w/ extension I made short work of removing the old drain. Three minutes tops to remove 27 years of pipe dope, silicone, and water deposits sealing the drain/threads. I would 100% buy this item again. A couple last thoughts: You will need an extension to use the 3/8” ratchet. Make sure the ratchet is set in the correct direction. I’m sure I could have produced enough torque to strip the threads if I was oriented in the wrong direction. Enjoy the pics.

Bought this tool and the extractor for 2 bathrooms. Extractor did not work at all. However this wrench works wonderfully on the 2nd bathroom with 3 prongs left on the drain. It was very easy to remove the drain with an adjustable wrench. You get more leverage than a screwdriver through the middle of the hole of this wrench.
