Excellent walking shoes
This is my first barefoot shoeIt has very gentle support on the medial arch, very good space for toes to splayGives a good feedback about the surface to the soleThe best part is that it has helped me to correct my minor postural issues- balance of leg muscles leading to maintaining good foot movement ,Over 2 months of daily walking improved my foot and ankle stability by improving my foot and leg muscle strengthImproved my hip alignment and helped in recruitment of abdominal muscles as wellVery good productI was expecting more close feel of the walking surface with barefoot but it’s not too badThe best experience was walking on hilly terrain ailsI have not done any jogging or running so far but I feel it will be good for that as well

Fantastic
I have mobility issues which means I wear knee braces and these are perfect t for me. I also have plantar fascitis and my ankle rolls. While walling these give me personally more stability and even with orthotics in for my ankle and foot these give me amazing support. I find them comfortable and give me a bit more balance as my toes have enough room to spread out and feels good. They are lightweight and despite that I don't feel anything thru the sole even on the days I have not put orthotics in them. I use them to walk the dog and to go to the gym to do strengthening exercises for my health condition. I absolutely love them and these are my second pair of Merrells.

Avoid these Merrill shoes
Bought these at the end of June and my wife started wearing them mid July. She just wears them for an hour a day for a walk around the park with the dog.Merrill seem to have evaporated from the UK post Brexit and are not even accepting calls. As you see from the photo these have already split. The one month returns policy from Amazon is totally useless - clearly this item is totally unfit for purpose.£70 WASTED

If you usually size up for running shoes / training shoes then don't!
As per previous reviews, I wish I had read them before ordering, I normally size up in trainers and running shoes but with these there is no need due to the width of the toe area allowing plenty of room compared with a normal pair of trainers. Some have also complained about the arch support area in the shoe being a problem. As someone with high arches who can find it difficult to get slip on boots to fit because I can't get my foot down into them this is not a problem for me, but might be for some people. Over all a good fit, but certainly would not pay full price for them in comparison to some of the other vibram footwear on the market.

My favourite pair of shoes
These are my favourite pair of shoes, this is a repurchase, I destroyed the previous pair. They are a barefoot shoe, but a very good one for that. I use them for walking, running and hiking and it's very comfortable, never gives me blisters and it doesn't look too "training shoe"-y. They feel like they melt onto my feet but also keep my feet in a good position (good support for a barefoot shoe).

Hard arch support
Shoe fits well on my slim feet, nice and flexible sole, well made shoe but as others have said I dislike the arch support, I have dropped arches so running in barefoot shoes actually helps strengthen my feet and run correctly, but the hard arch support would rub the underside of my arches, I tried something similar a few years ago and ended up with blisters under my arches so sadly its back to the drawing board for me. Going to return these.

Arch Support - really..?
I've been wearing Trail Glove for years, having just worn out my last pair of version 4 - my favourites.! Cannot get 4's for love nor money any more so bought these. Nice fit, look good, but what the hell is with the arch support..???? Does anyone who wears minimalist shoes want an arch support.?I've been wearing these for the last couple of weeks and now find I have such sore heels and Achilles tendon that they will now be resigned to the walking only. I can only assume this pain is caused by the arch support and it not letting my foot work how it is supposed to. So my advice :1. DONT BUY, and2. Please Merrell, dont put an arch support in future editions. It really is not needed

Arches too high
The inner arches were too high and really uncomfortable even walking around the house, I think any running would have caused pain and blisters. If you have high arches maybe this would be more suitable - otherwise the shoes were really flexible with a nice wide toe box.I really wanted to love them as I haven’t seen any other trail running shoes this light and flexible! If Merrell redesigned these to have lower arches they would be perfect.
