Great enclosure for solar systems
I used this box in my solar off grid system and it works great. Looks very good and being the perfect size to mount on a wooden post. It is durable and completely sealed all the way around. Nothing to complain on about this box.

Good box, bad hardware
The box seems to be built well but the snaps to lock it closed are garbage. The first time I opened it, they exploded into pieces because the pins had not been flared to keep everything together. Need to find some replacements…

Works great with #27 marine batt.
Used on auto gate opener for more gate openings per day(15-25?)

Works, locking area can be easy to manipulate though..
Size works well. Easy to mount.Lock plate can be undone with a screwdriver so not as secure as we would have liked.Pre drilled mounts make pole installs easy. Some odd manufacturing flaws.

Problems
What good is a lock if you can unscrew the bolts. Box came with back plate bent.Pros - it is a nice case with some good features.

This is a nice cabinet. In my case
This is a nice cabinet. In my case, I was able to put a solar power system, 12V battery, cellular router, a Phidgets SBC (like a Raspberry Pi) and associated sensors inside with lots of room to spare. There's even enough room for an additional battery down the road. That said, there a few issues that could all be easily resolved by the manufacturer. First, the clasp for attaching a padlock is simply screwed into the box... anyone with a screwdriver could be in in literally seconds. It's really a joke. Likewise, each of the box snaps can easily be unscrewed as well, but as long as the box is locked and the issue is addressed with the lock clasp, nobody's getting in. I'm going to epoxy the phillips head slots to prevent anyone from doing this. Second, the hinge pin can be easily removed... I didn't realize this until I noticed that it was literally falling out. I'll probably just take a center punch and deform the hinge housing so it can't be easily removed. Third, the box, despite shipping with a back plate, didn't include any screws... I had to rummage through my screw bins to find ones that worked. OK... there's actually a fourth issue... if you're looking for security, this really should be screwed to the wall from the inside the box and not via the flanges, but this one can easily be addressed by the consumer.Obviously, I'm concerned about security, but in my case, it has to be just enough to keep honest people honest. You'd probably want something in steel (not aluminum) if you're really concerned.

Very practical and useful box
I purchased this box for use with my solar power station. It fit the battery and inverter perfectly. I was a little concerned that the aluminum construction would not be sturdy enough to handle the 75 pound battery but it was not a problem at all. You will have build stand to put another device (the inverter) on top of the battery but that's easy. I also had to drill another hole on the bottom to run the remote for the inverter. The aluminum construction made it very east to drill a hole. I recommend this product to anyone wanting an enclosure that is water tight and reasonably priced.
