The Alchemical Visions Tarot: 78 Keys to Unlock Your Subconscious Mind (Book & Cards)

This deck leaves me spinning. The cards are a culmination of ten years of love and research and it shows. They are at once, so chock full of information, and yet so delicately and artfully stylized as to not overwhelm the reader but to inspire. Each card image portrays the image of the tarot in its completion and in its rightness (as this artist sees it) and it’s so well done. I love using these cards at night as a two card spread. One card representing the day I just lived and the next card representing tomorrow. I get phenomenal messages. And the cards are not that difficult to shuffle! All I do is split them and do the standard shuffling move with the corners, and then slide the cards in all together. Simple. And I have teeny tiny hands but I love the size of these cards; they need to be large in order for everything to be communicated in proportion and in order to be seen. They’re perfect.

The art is amazing -- this one needs no further comments. Can stare at a single card over and over as they all are interesting and different in their own way, have many details, many unique to one card, some recurring through the deck.The size of the cards may be a problem for those who planned to shuffle it and use it for spreads as any usual deck, but this one is more about meditation and undivided attention to art, to one or just a few cards in the same time, so that to be kept in mind. I read they're big before purchasing tho, and don't regret in the slightest. If anything, I'd like there to be more art decks as this one, as bigger cards allow for more complex images.The book is good. I liked the detailed descriptions of symbolism of chosen images, though I personally would prefer the descriptions to be more straightforward and not so similar. Of course they follow the main idea of the whole deck, so some similarities are understandable, and people will not probably read it in the correct order, but will randomly read about cards they picked. Yet I still got a feeling that with such general explanations one card can be easily substituted for many others. However, since any reader will develop their own associations with cards and has their own system too, it isn't a big problem.The box is really sturdy. Everything arrived quickly.

BEAUTIFUL cards, I’m so grateful these are actually a full set of 78 cards instead of just the major arcana. I’ve been using these, just shuffle them vertically and they shuffle perfect. Wonderful details, I’m in love! I wish more decks were large like this to appreciate the art fully! Highly recommend this jewel!

Some people cannot STAND large decks because they cannot shuffle & handle them easily. I find that they just don't use the right techniques for shuffling! I LOVE large & unique decks like this one. I find it very awesome and perfect just the way it is! It was a risk for the creator to publish the cards that big, but I feel like any smaller, we wouldn't be able to see what is in the cards. Also, there is so much going on in the cards that a ONE CARD PULL is alot of times sufficient. So you don't even need to shuffle the deck properly. just fan them and pull one! I think the risk that the creator made for making such a large deck PAID OFF! I love it and would love to see more of this creator!

People complain about the gigantic size of the cards which is understandable but I love how big the cards are; with such immense amount of imagery it makes sense that you would need a large size to be able to meditate and soak in all the symbols. I love just how much research, passion, and mysticism went into this creation. This is a deck to sit with, study, and meditate with. It’s gorgeous with depth.

I really, really want to love this deck. What is being conveyed here is groundbreaking and innovative. The art is both unique and challenging and yet traditional and familiar. It is both modern and classic. You could meditate on a single card for hours and still not absorb all that resides within. The book is very well written and could evennbe longer. There is no direct interpretation given for any card, more an unpacking of the symbols and that is not a bad thing. It requires intuition.My complaints? The cardstock is rather thin and super glossy. I would have loved it to be matte and a bit thicker. This would have jumped the price up which would have been fine. These Amazon reviewers who wail and gnash their teeth that the latest Lo Scarabeo deck they paid far below MSRP on Amazon for need to remember premium card stock comes with a premium price. These were about $45 so not necessarily a cheap deck but I would have happily paid around $75 for a nicer deck. The box is gorgeous and genius. The book is fine. I can live with the thin and glossy cardstock.However, these cards are way to damn big. They are roughly 2 and a half times bigger than a standard tarot card. They are the biggest cards I have yet to encounter. El Goliath looks cute compared to these behemoths. They're roughly 5" x 8". I have large hands and I am struggling when mixing them. The cards are packed to the gills with details and symbolism so this mammoth size perfectly accommodates that. However they are so very big I fear I will not use them as it can be a chore when fumbling with cards this large. I really wish they had made these a bit smaller as it may be the deal breaker for me. I may have overlooked it but i wish the gargantuan size had been made more apparent in the product description because I don't think I would have ordered them had I known they were this big.And that's a shame because these cards are a work of art that have some visionary and vital concepts to impart. But in order to benefit from what a tool can do one has to be able to manipulate the tool and I'm afraid these beauties are just too big for me. Size does matter. I have low vision so I need large cards to see. These are beautiful! And perfect dize for me. I can’t read the book and I couldn’t find an app for these for my phone. But I know card meanings so I can use my memory for that part. It’s a beautiful deck! Do be careful of the edges though. I got a paper cut counting them (they weren’t in order so I’m guessing they were used but I’m fine with that.
