Thoughtful essays on the links of Celtic myth to the Vedic Chakra model; no substantiation of explicit Celtic Chakras
The book does a nice job of exploring Celtic myths and the spirituality behind them. The author not only explains the myths but provides exercises for the readers so that they can develop an experimental appreciation for how these myths capture universal truths of human nature and internal energy flows. What the book doesn't do is provide any evidence that the myths are tied to chakras; as far as I can tell the author has inferred that the Celtics used this model to represent the different energy zones. There isn't any direct reference that were provided that the ancient Celts had seven zones mapped within the human body. Plus, depending on the culture, the number of zones can vary significantly, so it's not clear why the author has chosen the Vedic model to match to Celtic stories.I read this on a Kindle; the book has a lot of odd artifacts that show it wasn't formatted for a Kindle. (For examples, words appear hyphenated as if they were split across two lines even though there's no separation.) I enjoyed reading it, but am glad I tried it out on the Kindle first. Wouldn't pay for a physical book.

I loved this book
I enjoyed the insights and numbers and comparisons throughout this entire book. I haven't been able to fully embrace the chakras as we know them from the east, but i feel my ancestors are truly embraced with these not so new concepts. Thank you! It's good to my heart to know the relations with the Celtic Goddesses and that we don't have to indulge our spirituality in two very different places in the world.

Very Cool Book
This book is very simply explained and presents a wonderful subject. I am in the educational process of becoming a healer and energy worker, and wanted to find something about the energy centers that was not based in Eastern Chakra tradition. I personally really resonate with ancient Celtic history and tradition, and was looking for something on the Celtic idea of Chakras (exactly this book) to help me piece that into my work. For me, it's absolutely a no-brainer that the Druids meditated and understood/utilized the energy centers and pathways in their practice. To find the spiral working here also makes so much more sense to me than the linear model of the East. I really appreciate this book, and I'm grateful it was written!

Absolutely wonderful
I can scarcely describe how beneficial this book has been for me... Suffice to say, After years of searching through tiresome and endless volumes- I've finally found a connection to the information I've been in dire need of reading within this book. I can only assume I will soon be reading and rereading the rest of her (the author's) material, and would like to thank her deeply for making this available. For those of you along the path, or something similar- this book is a must have.-Jesse

Spirals
I did not even know Celtic spirituality involved chakras. I enjoyed reading a different cultural perspective on this idea. I really enjoyed the fact that the author suggested meditations and exercises in order to experience the truths for the reader. The explanation of the chakra system and other Celtic mystic ideas was laid out well.

Need to read again
This is a book to be read more than once in order to fully grasp all the deeper meanings contained within. I did find several typos and a few grammatical errors, which lead to some confusion. On the whole it is a very compelling read.

I really like how Elen Sentier weaves lore and science into being
This book blew my mind wide open! I really like how Elen Sentier weaves lore and science into being. All things spiral in and out, in pairs that compliment, not exclude. The concept of and/and is brilliant! Inclusion makes sense. In all things. Duality in pairs creates a whole. I will be rereading this book (many more times) for the shear pleasure of the Spiral Dance that we do every single day of our lives.

Fitting 2 systems in a practical way
As far as I know the 7 chakras system does not belong to celtic tradition; anyway she does an excellent relationship among the chakra system, the 3 cauldrons and celtic myths explained with such simplicity that anyone can understand it. I enjoy very much all journeys (meditations guided) which also demonstrate how well her point of view gear up all this knowledge.

Great!
I really enjoyed reading this, it was a lot of information to process, but it really makes so much sense, and filled in a lot of the holes I was missing, and highlighted where I was experiencing disconnect with my own chakras and spiritual practice.

Hidden treasures found within
This is a wonderful book. I dip into it, time and again, to work with the exercises and deepen my understanding. The information is simply written but deep with insight. It works well for the individual reader, but would adapt nicely to a small group for deeper exploration.
