beautiful pot , very useful….. it’s short and 1/2 the size of my other press…. well made should last many years

A couple major design flaws seriously compromise the quality. First is the propensity for the unit to leak as you pour, dribbling down the side of the glass and off the bottom. If there is the slightest amount of debris on the inside of the glass, it will compromise the seal and coffee leaks out between the top of plastic lid and the glass container. Debris can be anything from a coffee ground, to simply some foam from the top of the coffee as you poured in your hot water. It seems a larger rubber gasket, or a double gasket would have been a better design. The only way to ensure you don't drop coffee on your table or guests is to not fill the unit above about 75%. The second problem is the quality of the chrome finish. The inside, bottom of the unit (near where the chrome attaches to the plastic base) started rusting soon after I started using the press. It has left a pretty nasty rust etch on the outside of the glass carafe. for a press well over $100.00, I would have expected better. Especially from what is supposed to be a leading brand in the coffee press and accessories business.(note: This review is of this item, not the seller.)

I Love this product but glass is too thin (versus the other models) and just crack for no apparent reason today,can you send me a new glass, I made coffee and it just cracked, I compared it to my old one, and the glass was thinner then original .
