This is a great family book to read
This is a great FAMILY, read. It harkens me back to the days when this type of action adventure books were the rage. Both authors have done a great job spinning a story that the whole family can read & hold their attn. [and the parents do not have to worry about what the kids are reading either] It really held my attn during the whole time I was reading it & look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

20,000 Feet Into the Jungle
In the spirit of a classic adventure novel, this julesvernian Father-Daughter story takes us deep into South America, crossing paths with falling planes, machine gun carrying thieves, jaguars, and the long sought after Chupacabra. Ray and his daughter, Margi, take a trip to grow closer together, and find that the process of doing so is bumpy and rough. Littered with metaphors revealing the danger in growing apart from the ones you love, this book from first time author, long time storyteller, Cary Abbott, vividly paints a picture of how to stay close, be it in a relationship, or in a fenced off shed under attack. With action, adventure, humor, and I think one reference to "Jurassic Park: The Lost World", "Rumble In The Jungle!" is a must read for families hoping to keep imagination and entertainment burning bright in their minds.

A Fun Exciting Story for Kids and Adults
Rumble in the Jungle is a father-daughter adventure story that keeps the reader turning the pages. After their plane goes down in the South American jungle, Ray and his daughter Margi must survive the animals, bandits, and yes, chupacabras. The plot treads the line of believable/unbelievable pretty tightly, but ultimately lands in the believable. There are a few great lessons along the way, but they add to the story rather than get in the way. As a 5th grade teacher, I know that good stories help kids want to read more. This is that kind of book for middle-schoolers. After my sons (6th and 7th graders) finish it, I'll be adding it to my classroom library.

My niece hasn't put it down...
Just gifted this to my niece who was bored to tears as her mom and I were visiting. She hasn't uttered a sound, nor put down her kindle since (been an hour). I asked her if she liked it and she nodded and kept reading. LOL That's a very good sign... I would say Rumble in the Jungle is a hit!

Great reading for a rainy day!
I bought this book on recommendation for my teenage sons, but decided to read it myself first. I'm really glad that I did too. The book is interesting, engaging, and the characters come to life immediately. My sons have been fighting over the book the last few days taking turns reading it and catching up with each other; we have agreed to do the family thing and read the last 10 pages together. It's not often that both of my sons agree that they like the same thing, let alone like something I suggested to them! My oldest hates reading with a passion and this is the first time in the last year or so that he has taken an interest in anything other than a video game, so thank you Mr. Abbot and Mr. Mason for rekindling his desire to read again!I look forward to other books by both Cary and Fergus.

What an adventure!!
This is a tremendous teenagers' book; brilliant plot and so well written. I bought the book for my grandchildren and decided to read it first since this is the first Fergus Mason fiction I have read. Cary Abbott's plot is just what teenagers are looking for, almost unbelievable to adult minds, and how the tale was told and the language used were excellent and kept me reading to the last page. I hope this duo is going to give the young reader more of this type of adventure.

Fast paced
Neither the story nor the writing underestimate the intended audience. We are dropped immediately into a terrifying situation, and it's action pretty much all the way after that. Boy's own genre with a 13-year-old female protagonist brought bang up to date? My nieces are still a bit young for this. I hope they'll turn out to be the sort of 11- 17 year olds who will enjoy reading this. I'd say the same if they were nephews, too.
