absolutely recommend, the knowledge in this book helped me change my life
Wonderful book. Inciteful, sobering.. you can taste the flavor of truth of these teachings, especially when you apply them to daily life. I particularly enjoyed and found extremely helpful the teachings about imagination, thoughts and the nature of passions.

We are sick and divided at heart in denying God, but there is hope.
This is a clear analysis of the working-structure of the soul in relation to the body, and the sicknesses due to our separation from God. It makes clear our false 'gods' which separate our soul and body and deform our ability to see and choose for the light and goodness of God. Evil is very real and is destructive at every level of our being and in society.

Deep Thinking That Defines The Orthodox Chucrh
As a long-time Protestant, I read this in wonder. Orthodoxy answers so many questions and defines how we progress in faith. If you're looking for deep, foundational issues to grow your spirituality, I highly recommend this book.

Great Book!
Not an academic or theological take on orthodox psychology but a great conversation on how orthodoxy impacts every day ideas, attitudes and decisions.

Excellent summary of Orthodox spiritual healing
The author's main thesis is that Eastern Orthodoxy is not a religion, but is in fact a method for healing the human soul. The author gives a concise summary of his larger work "Orthodox Psychotherapy". He does so in an easy to read dialogue with some characters who raise objections to themes in his larger work.If you are interested in spiritual healing, hesychasm, Orthodoxy, or religion in general this is a great book to deepen your knowledge of what Eastern Christianity brings to the table.
