This is a hard review to write. I've decided to give it 5 stars throughout because it does what it's supposed to. But it's not without faults. The primary fault is that it doesn't deliver its advertised 8k imagery without a lot of intervention, and the resulting images are not useful because the format seems to be incompatible with recording software so the results are distorted to match my screen. As other reviewers have mentioned, the colour is poorly saturated, necessitating a lot of configuration in post. The lens is very basic indeed as one might expect at this price point. There is about 90 degrees of rotation in the focus ring. But that's not your range of focus. It's needed because the range of focus at the long end of the zoom is in a very different place to the focus at the wide end. So zooming while recording is not possible, it would throw the focus wildly off. And there is no possibility of auto focus since there is no link from photo sensor to the lens mount. But, for £80 what is reasonable to expect? This is clearly a specialist product offering manual control over a USB camera. If you want a logitech then by all means go that way. But if you want to be in control.....

We are now live streaming our Church services via Zoom. We already had a camera which showed about half of the front of the church. This was bought as a second camera for close up shots of the person preaching. The telephoto is good, the camera, sitting on the sound desk at the back of the church, can be zoomed in to give a good close up shot of the speaker at the lectern. The zoom and focus are very sensitive, it takes some fiddling to get it just right. The colour is hugely inferior to our other low priced but fixed lens camera. A little pricey but, overall a decent solution to our needs.

The good: * zoom lens allows you to adjust what is visible if you use this camera for video calls * you can get nice blurry backgrounds if you open up the aperture * you can get quite close up images with the lens * you can replace he lens * works out-of-the box under Linux The bad: * colours are under-saturated and washed out (see picture of reference chart vs what it should look like) * a center circle is more yellowish (seen also in other review) * it do not think it is the lens, because I could the same effect without lens and with photo camera lens * I tried painting the inside of the vamera black (covering brass elements, etc.) to exclude any weird reflections, but did not help * unclear what is causing this; maybe the the filter glass on the sensor?? Bought to put on top of the TV for improved zoom meeting quality over the camera built into the laptop. Being able to zoom the frame was important to me - and it does that... But basically I got almost no image at all unless the aperture was 100% open, and even then it was pretty poor unless I had all the lights on in the room on full brightness. And then the colours... Dreadful - really washed out and dull. Bottom line is that the titchy camera on the laptop gives me a much better picture with brighter colours, and it works in low light. This camera is really not worth the money so it's gone back.

Worked with Jetson Nano out of the box. Good image and decent dynamic range. Tripod thread makes mounting simple. Using the unit on a servo pan and tilt and openCV to learn AI.

While it does seem to have a yellow tinge in the centre area it seems to fix that with while balance and as it's not an issue for my application I was not too concerned. I'm still testing it with my Jetson Nano, but early indications are that it works well once I set it up.

Great quality camera, installed inside a metal frame to run motion detection algorithms along with a raspberry pi. Does the job gracefully even at night when paired with a good IR lamp. recommended!

advertised as 8 megapixel but my cheap webcam is better quality, this one is grainy washed out and all in all a complete waste of money, avoid at all costs.

Einfach perfekt für online Demos!! Super Auflösung, super Bild, etwas Kissenverzerrung, aber als Flipchart Ersatz für Online Meeting und Trainings einfach einmalig! Auch zum digitalisieren alter Fotos ganz ok ... Ich hatte hier die Frage gestellt, ob es ein zweites Kabel gibt. Da kamen sehr kuriose Antworten, daß nur ein Kabel dabei sei, daß das Kabel fix an der Kamera ist oder einfach nur "Nein". Das Kabel hat ca. 20-30 cm nach der Kamera eine runde, 5polige Kupplung! Ich hab Kontakt mit dem Hersteller aufgenommen und habe ganz ohne Probleme für ein paar $/€ zwei Ersatzkabel bestellen können!

J'avais vu des vidéo de cette caméra sur internet ! Le produit qui m'a était livré n'est même pas le même que sur la photo ! C'est une autre version !! La qualité est juste médiocre surtout que pour ce prix la ! Très déçu, je ne le recommande pas du tout !!!

Die Auflösung ist o.k. und der Zoom auch. Der Folus könnte feiner einstellbar sein - ist ein wenig Gepfrimel. O.K. - mit Profi-Objektiven hat diese Cam nichts zu tun. Am meisten störend ist ein wenig die ungleichmäßige Farbwiedergabe. In der Mitte hatten zwei Kameras einen grünstichigen Hotspot. Die eine mehr, die andere weniger. Mangels Alternativen ist diese Webcam als Dokumentankamera-Ersatz aber trotzdem brauchbar. Aber der Preis ist könnte für die Qualität günstiger sein.

Überzeugend : Gehäusequalität, manuelle Zoomfunktion. Mittelmässig: Designkonzept (Sensor / Objektiv), Lichtstärke, Schärfe. Mangelhaft: Farbwiedergabe, nebst gelber Verfärbung in der Bildmitte. Siehe Hersteller-Text: "This camera ... with Sony IMX179 Sensor ... has high requirements of the lights ... if the light is insufficient it may appear yellow circle." Gelbstichtiges, flaches Bild auch bei ausreichend Helligkeit. Typ Überwachungskamera für Bildausschnitte in grösserer Entfernung, in gut ausgeleuchten Innnenräumen.
