Mary Emmerling's books are beautiful! I put them on my coffee table and in the guest room.Everybody enjoys the gorgeous photos and quick read.

Many people are collectors of crosses. For all of you our there who are fascinated with the many, many ways artisans portray the cross, then this is a lovely book for you to have in your personal space. Thanks to Mary Emmerling, we are blessed with books such as this one!

Leave it to Mary Emmerling to recognize spiritual icons as an art form. The book is beautiful in its simplicity. An hour spent soaking in its pages is akin to meditation.

"Art of the Cross" was a decent book, it showed the cross in a multiple of different art forms all within the Southwest genre. It was interesting, but not outstanding. I would have liked to see the crosses used more as a religous/decorative aspect in a room rather than in isolation. Most of the photos were in isolation not within a broader theme or venette. Not one of Mary Emmerling's best decorating books, but you can tell she has a special affection for the cross.A lot of pretty photos, not many decorating ideas. I would buy it again, as there are not a lot of books about crosses as art.

Informative easy read Beautiful pictures supplement the book

I was so excited for this book to come out, but I think it needed two things; the photographs would probably look better if the book was a little larger and secondly, I would have enjoyed reading more background, more history about the works featured in the book. I love Mary Emmerling, but this book is simply weak. Before I purchased it through Amazon, I was considering it as an interesting Christmas gift for friends. Back to the drawing board...

I found this book a great asset for coming up with ideas for my Primary age pupils at Easter. There is so much food for thought in it.
