BERINGMen's Watch Solar Movement - Solar Collection with Titanium and Sapphire Crystal 15239-XXX

The antidote to huge, fat, blingy chronometers
Watches are very personal things, and for me, this is just what I was looking for. Clean design, fairly minimal, classy and slim, the solar powered dark grey/brown face going well with the excellent titanium bracelet. This is mostly a brushed finish, which gives it a warm colour compared to steel. Titanium is softer than steel, so it's slightly prone to marking, but the brushed part is easily restored with careful brushing with a pan cleaner along the length of the bracelet. Being titanium overall, it is surprisingly light while looking solid. The sides of the case and bracelet are polished, and less prone to marking. The bracelet is very well made, and the clasp works well. I bought a £14 watch repair kit which had proper bracelet pin removing tools, and was able to adjust the bracelet perfectly to my smaller wrist, though you may want to pay a jeweller to do it. The 39mm case also means it sits well, whereas many huge, blingy cases would look ridiculous on me, apart from not being to my taste anyway! The sapphire crystal glass is a rare benefit at this price point, mineral glass being so easy to mark. The second hand doesn't quite align with the marks on mine, but it keeps good time with the Seiko movement. The solar power is nice, so it should last for years until the rechargeable cell fails, and will hopefully be replaceable if necessary. This means the screw-on back won't need removing, which should help keep the water resistance. The hour markers are very clear, and glow in the dark for a short while after exposure to light, but largely faded after about 20 minutes. I was tempted by the dark blue faced version which looks striking in photos, but glad I went for the grey one, as it is a similar colouring to the warm titanium case and bracelet. I tried to see both in the flesh, but Bering isn't widely stocked in UK jewellers. There is also a stealth black version, but I suspect this would show marks, and be impossible to re-brush. Altogether very happy with it after four months. UPDATE still very happy with it after 2.5 years, though I've now got a free Pixel Watch to distract and annoy me. I suspect it's charms will fade rapidly though!

Thin, light, stylish titanium & solar bracelet watch
This watch 'ticked' a lot of boxes for me, so I've made this review longer than normal as there isn't much out there about these watches. It is thin at 9.5mm when measured (8mm on Bering website though?), light, has a clean uncluttered style, a titanium case, a sturdy looking titanium bracelet, 100m water resistance (10ATM), is solar powered (Seiko solar movement afaik), has synthetic sapphire glass and some lume that isn't that strong, but surprisingly does last through the night, it was just readable in the dark after 7 hours. The lume photo shows watch just after it was removed from a window sill. The second hand lines up nicely on the markers as well. The watch weighs 81g (with the out of the box unadjusted bracelet). A 39mm case means it isn't totally massive on the wrist, or small either and it comes in a trendy glass jar which is different and fun too. This was the black face version, which has a slight dark brown tint on close inspection. I was tempted by the blue face as it looks amazing, but it sadly wasn't on offer at the time. Bering aren't as established as some big watch names but that isn't reason in itself to dismiss them, and time will tell how the watch performs everyday. So far it is keeping good time. The only downsides I have found so far are that the bracelet pins are tough to remove/replace and this makes DIY bracelet adjustment difficult unless you have the right tools and titanium will scratch if you aren't kind to it.

Good Quality overall
Nice watch even though I ordered the blue face one and they sent black face.Worst thing is the luminous hands and markers are very faint which is a shame

Watch keeps excellent time and bracelet is easy to adjust to fit your wrist size
The watch looks very good. It is very comfortable and light to wear and has kept perfect time to the second over the 6 weeks since I bought it. I needed to adjust the bracelet to fit my wrist but the instructions supplied with the watch were for a quite different type of bracelet. You may therefore find the following useful. As advised by other reviewers I had bought the watch repair kit supplied separately by Amazon. My wrist is 19 cm in circumference and I had to remove two full links to make the bracelet fit. Each link is 11 mm long and a spare half-link also comes with the watch. To remove a link you need to look for the little arrows on the inside of the bracelet near the edge. These arrows point in the right direction to knock out a pin in order to separate the links by hitting the pin firmly from the edge opposite the arrows using the hammer and right size tool in the kit. Note that there is also a sleeve that will drop out once the pin is removed. To reconnect links, reverse the process inserting the pin from the edge with the arrow and in the reverse direction and with the sleeve reinserted. Also make sure you locate the end of the pin in the opposite edge of the bracelet before hitting it fully home. I failed to do this first time, but I found I could knock the pin out again easily using the flat end of a small nail.

Classy Watch for a Decent Price
Was looking for a watch that had five specific features. Namely titanium, solar, waterproof to 100 metres, sapphire crystal glass and case width under 40mm.Spent ages looking at Seiko and Citizen but nothing came up at what I felt was a reasonable price. Eventually found this Bering watch on a comparison site and it does everything I want. Be surprised if you can find another watch with these features at this competitive price. The dark blue colour is particularly attractive. The one tiny negative is something that another reviewer has previously mentioned. The orange second hand, which I like a lot, does not align precisely with the minute markers as it moves around the face. Slightly irritating to some perhaps.

Classy!
Up until now I had been wearing a Citizen solar watch, which is awesome, but the black face and silver dial made it tricky to read, even in sunlight. The Bering watch with its royal blue face and white hands and hashmarks makes it easy to read even in dim light! That combined with the black titanium frame and band make it just right for me. Minimalist and classy!

Precioso
El tono de azul es elegante y fácil de combinar. El reloj es muy ligero y de fácil lectura. Se ve más caro de lo que es. Me encantó

Elegante, confortevole, minimale

Bering Simplicity and Quality
I have 30 watches and this is my first Bering. I am impressed with the simplistic style and the quality in the materials of the watch. I have a couple of Invicta Blue Labels and they are beautiful (steel and heavy) and a Citizen atomic titanium with solar (that I really love). I have not seen a blue titanium watch. This is a beautiful blue titanium watch with a sapphire crystal. A sapphire crystal is usually found on more expensive watches. I have a 8 inch wrist and it fit me prefect without any adjustment, even though it came with a extra link. It is so light weight I forget I have it on. The blue dial with the white hour and minute hands plus the orange second hand is really outstanding. Considering the quality of the watch, it would make the infamous Dane and Alaskan explorer Vitus Bering ( namesake of the company) extremely proud of this Danish masterpiece, especially at this price.
