I bought the formula from abbott and amazon because amazon sells it cheaper. However, the ones I bought from amazon feels very different from the ones I bought from abbott. The ones I bought from abbott are very fluffy and loose powder. The ones from amazon was really packed like a brick. Also, they smell differently. My daughter's eczema got worsened all the sudden after we started her on the ones bought from amazon. I don't want to point finger at it, but we didn't give her anything new.If whatever conditions your little one has got worse after having the formula...you might want to stop it and try to get one from abbott to compare...----------------------------------update (4/6/2019)I am not sure what's going on with retailers. I bought elecare jr from walmart and same issue. After weeks of the worst eczema flare up after starting DD on elecare jr, we decided to get a case from abbott to compare again. The formula we got is just so fluffy and loose. DD always seemed in pain and so itchy after having the elecare jr bought from walmart. The symptoms do not occur for the ones bought from abbott. I guess I just have to pay the higher price to get it from abbott store. The attached picture is the formula that i got from abbott after opening. If the formula you got doesn't look like it, don't even give it to your little one.----------------------------------update (6/19/2019)I sent the formula that I bought from walmart and amazon to abbott lab for testing. Even though, the smell and feel are very different from the ones I bought from abbott, the test result came back showing both of them are in good condition. I don't want to mislead people so I am providing this last update. If your little one is fine with the ones bought from amazon, then good for you because it's much cheaper. Hope everyone's little ones get well eventually.

So thankful for this formula. It worked wonders for my little girl. She was reacting to the broken down milk protein in Alimentum. We switched her to this and say improvement right away. We are even turning a leaf on her reflux finally. This formula also smells and tastes SO much better than Alimentum!

We loved this. My son had allergic colitis. Dairy and soy caused ulcers in his colon and the ulcers would bleed. We would find blood in his stools and jelly like clots. He was born 6lbs 2oz but two weeks after birth he was down to 5lbs 6oz. We couldn't figure out why he was having such a hard time. The pediatricians kept giving us soy and Alimentum but to no avail. He continued to bleed. Eventually our GI doctor suggested Elecare and gave us a few cans to try. She warned us that it was very expensive and never heard of anyone getting it covered by medical insurance. I purchased a can from Amazon once or twice. Eventually I found it too costly and called my health insurance and begged for coverage. I explained that we had no other options on feeding him. (Even my breast milk caused the bleeding.) The coverage nurse agreed it was necessity and Electra was billed as a medical supply. If your baby really needs this to thrive, please consider contacting your health insurance. All we had to do was order the shipment and 9 cans would come per month.Please know that options are available! I had Blue Cross/Blue Shield at the time. It took about 2 hours of phone calls, along with some tears but it was done!

This was one of the few powder my niece could digest as she was highly allergic to many other brands. Unfortunately, this powder seems mostly to made of junk. Growing babies with allergies deserve better than this formula.

I have been using this formula with my LO for about a month now (she is 2 months old) prior to using this formula which was recommended by her pediatrician she was on Enfamil gentle ease which did NOTHING for her, prior to enfamil she was on Similac pro advanced & while this formula is offered in a smaller can for a larger price - it works and is well worth it. My LO has been very content since being on this formula and no longer is as gassy/fussy as before. Her feedings go perfect now and seeing her comfortable is what will make me keep spending the price of the formula without issue/hesitation. I really recommend this if your child has severe allergies when it comes to other formula products. In my area this can is sold for $50-$60 so even at $45 it’s still saving me money. Wether it’s a $1 or $10 being saved it’s WORTH IT. Y’all I can finally SLEEP.

My son was first put in this as he has a milk protein allergy. At one month old he was absolutely starving so he would drink anything but the flavor is like cardboard or plastic. It’s very synthetic and he didn’t like it but dealt with it. It’s such a small container but cost $50. We were needing a new one weekly. He ended up reacting to this formula as he ended up with a corn fructose allergy as well and reacted to the corn in it. The other formula Neocate was even worse tasting for him than this one.

My son had to switch to this and the local Big Box marts have it for $45 a can. Online I could only find it for 5 bucks cheaper than here, but then they get you with shipping cost so you are not saving anything. It really sucks that this is so expensive, and I'm sure families in tighter financial situations will struggle to keep purchasing this stuff. If you have a Prime membership defiantly get it here. Also be prepared for super smelly burps, and darker poops.

Both of our kids have the same cow's milk protein allergy and this formula has been a life saver! We're so happy to be able to have this shipped directly to our house but for much cheaper than what we would pay at the store.
