Portable Air Cooler

I can't fathom where the positive reviews have come from for this item. I literally took thermometers and placed them in the room today beside the fan on a 24C day and it hasn't dropped by even 1 degree despite filling it with cold water and ice and running it for 6hrs. Sat 2m from it I can barely feel the air coming from it on a still day. I originally bought this for my very pregnant wife in the uncomfortable heat we had up into the 30Cs a few weeks back, and it did nothing. We had normal fans in the bedroom already which from their blowing alone create a much grater coolish experience. I tried my experiment again today to check it wasn't simply the sheer heat before having me rate it unfairly, but it's clear not. This item simply doesn't have the power (perhaps nor design overall) to delivery on the so-called cooling experience it describes. It says it humidifies also, but if I open it and touch the honeycomb structure on which the water trickles down and is absorbed that sits in front of the fan, that is barely even moist either, so it makes little sense to me as to how it's even meant to work. I dunno, I'd welcome another for free to give it a second chance and see if it's faulty, I suppose. Please seller, either refund me or prove me wrong and convince me this was simply a faulty item?

I quite liked the idea of feeling cool on a warm day, and despite the negative review below, I decided to order on the basis of my own need. Might I say this product is absolutely swell. The combined air purifier and water chamber is what any gaming teenage nerd like myself needs. It's easy to use, and stops all those teenage catastrophes known as the stacking of plates and bio to deter any mother that wishes for their son or daughter to pause any online game. Absolute bargain, might I say. Bravo

Bought to have something to keep my aging dog cool when at work. I wanted something that was not using mains electric when I was out (for safety reasons). But when connected to my laptop it turned off when the laptop powered off and so I bought a very high duty power pack (which is great) but found the air cooler does not produce enough cold air. So I had to return and go back to more traditional methods

I purchased this with a little trepidation as the reviews had not been particularly brilliant, so I was not expecting the best from this but the price was very keen so bought two. I tried one and was not overly impressed as it seemed very feeble output, so I thought that I had bought a couple of lemons. Roll on lockdown and temperatures rising into the thirties, I thought I would give it another chance and ithas been keeping me cool to the point that I had to turn it off as I was getting cold. I have found that during this hot weather I have been able to sleep with this on low as not as loud as my other air coolers and as not too far away its breeze is welcome.( I have mine 2ft away from me )You will not be able to cool a room with this but it is possible to be comfortable if close by I found the best mix of a few ice cubes and water not overly full gives out a nice chilling breeze. I purchased at just over a fiver each and for that price it was worth it even would have paid a little bit more. It is currently running on 1 my Pros. Fairly Quiet compared to others Cheap price when I purchased. Able to use ice cubes Easy fill. After running in works fairly well. USB -c A handle for carrying outside. Cons. First time filled with water it leaked in bottom right hand corner. Not as powerful as others Summary. Easy to use and fill, a handle, not overly powerful, relatively quiet and owing to the bad reviews quite a cheap bargain for those who don't mind occasionally trying something different.

Do not expect it to cool the whole room because it’s not big enough to do that! But it does the job if you’re sat at a desk or in the car it’ll cool you down also if you’re in a hot room you’re better off opening the window and placing it on the window ledge it works better with air from outside!

This is a truly terrible product . I was intrigued by the principle of it as an alternative to aircon - even having to refill with Icy water seemed like a good compromise for some affordable air cooling. The reality is more gloomy - unless you stick your face directly in front of this product it is completely ineffective. Even if you do that(and honestly, who wants to do that?) I actually get more effective cooling for a standard fan, which is a lot less expensive. I have requested a return already, a complete waste of money. I saw reviews on here saying it could cool a room which is a staggering and completely false claim. I'm not sure if its just this product or air coolers in general, but don't waste your time here

small and easy to handle but gives it a perfect cold. I think the device is just fine, i have been using this to cool me down at night. it is so quiet and also very cool. It's also nice and easy to take this device to anywhere you want. And i think if you use chilled water, it cools even better :-)

I had a good long look at these - there are a few different ones available on Amazon and I was not really expecting a huge amount from them really - but I bought two, knowing that I could return them if I was not not satisfied. Amazon delivery was fantastic - they arrived the following day after ordering. Soon set the coolers up, and as suggested, had cool water and ice ready to pour into the water chambers. Set both appliances up in each of my kids rooms and set the air flow over the kids beds. Quite noisy compared to regular fans. It however soon became very clear that they made no difference at all compared to the Argos fans I already use. Both appliances returned immediately. Would not recommend to anyone!
