As noted above, these are PVC and not styrene. This matters for 2 reasons:-1) You positively NEED to use a proper scalpel or modelling knife to clean them up, since you'll need to cut flash and/or moulding tool marks off with it to assemble the 2 "Moon buggies" and 3 flying platforms, and cut flash off some of the figures.2) You need to wash the parts in dilute washing up liquid (say 3 drops of Fairy or Persil to a pint of warm water), and then prime and paint using acrylic paints (these retain some flexibility so will chip less than enamels).Speaking of painting, I'd suggest silver for the vehicles, mostly white for the astronauts and gloss black or gold for the faceplates on the helmets. (actually gold, but look black with their backs to the Sun)And, for those of you buying A50106 "One Small Step For (A) Man", that set contains this one, the Lunar Module and some vacuum formed terrain, so the price of this set is better spent on some paints.

They suit perfectly for 50th anniversary of the moon landing! The flying vehicle pictured on the front is not easy to put together due to extra plastic but apart from that, well worth it!

Nice kit , however the figures are a bit small . But from my point of view I’m a old relic and I need a magnifying glasses !!!The box art work is brilliant , I think that’s what made me buy it !!!
