If you’ve never used these, they’ll change your life
I first came across wire ferrules in my early days of performing maintenance on industrial machinery. Any panel maker who takes pride in his/her work will make good use of these and it’s easy to see why. Most hook-up wire uses stranded conductors for numerous reasons, but their fatal flaw is difficulty keeping the individual strands tidy while trapping them under a screw terminal or something similar. Ferrules solve this problem in such a magnificent way that once you’ve experienced the pleasure of using them you’ll question how you managed to go so long without them in your life. Even if all you use these for at home is tidying up the ends of speaker wire before trapping them in your amp and speaker, you’ll be happier with than without them. The ferrules in this kit are good quality. They’re copper with what I assume is a tinned finish. Good, not great, because the finish will scrape off when bitten by a screw terminal. This means they’re more susceptible to oxidation than if they had a sturdier finish, but it’s no worse than if you were using exposed copper conductors alone, as most speaker wire and general purpose hookup wire typically does. It’s not a big deal, however. In most cases the oxidization on copper is only surface level and can be removed with contact cleaner and light abrasion and further prevented with an appropriately rated dielectric grease. The crimping tool, however, isn’t great. It makes a bit of an ugly crimp compared to the ones I’ve used at work. The jaws have a tad bit too much clearance and don’t come together perfectly evenly so small portions of the ferrule will get trapped between them and make little tabs at 1 or 2 corners of the final crimp. Again, not a huge deal. Otherwise it ratchets smoothly and is easy to get enough leverage on to crimp all the way up to the 7ga ferrules that are included.

This little tool is fantastic. I didn't know I needed this till I needed it.
Seriously, I've been stuffing wires in little holes for years and clamping down the screws until they were ready to break. Several times they did in fact which recently lead me to finding this little gem of a wire container. After stripping out a clamp screw on a solar charge controller I knew I had to figure out something. Thanks to google and youtube for the answer. The Ferrule Connector. The kit has everything you need to ferrule crimp every wire you own for the rest of your life. There are a gazillion little ferrule thingies in this kit. If you have small wires you need to add strength to this is the ticket. The crimper part is cool too. It put a trippy pattern on the ferrule end that allows your screwy clamp things to really grip onto it. I've already gone back and added in ferrules to previously connected stuff just because this thing is so cool.If you need to clamp wire ends to stuff like sockets, plugs controller switches or anything that has a pressure clamp, get this kit and save yourself some frustration and possibly trouble, cuz loose connections are what Mr. Sparky looks for to jump out and let you know you messed up. Keep Mr. Sparky in the wires. Get the kit and save yourself a fire.

Good ferrules and a good quality crimping tool to boot
Never bought ferrules or a crimping tool before. I expected the tool to be a cheap gimmicky add-on but it was of surprisingly high quality. My young boys found it very easy to use.
