Nice looking but not really the best value
There's a lot to like about this about this speaker. It is attractive looking although it does not look like the photo, the mesh speaker part is black not grey. The build quality is great with a sturdy, polished, fingerprint proof metal frame. The eco-friendly packaging is a nice touch too.Now the cons.I really wanted to love this speaker but the sound quality is just sub par and I was pretty disappointed considering the rave reviews. The speaker doesn't get super loud and the sound is muffled and constrained. The sound stage is also not very wide and is lacking a lot is bass. The sound also doesn't project very much and feels very underwhelming and lacking in clarity. I would put the sound quality in the $25-30 range. For $50 this has a lot of competition and it does not live up. For $10 more you get can the SHARKK speaker which is about the same size but the sound quality is night and day different, seriously the sound quality of the sharkk comes close to my bose soundlink which is 4x the price. There is a review here that says the sound quality comes close to the mini, now while I'm not an advocate for spending $$$$ on a speaker if there is a sub-cost version that's an excellent value (why I mention the sharkk) the sound quality of this is nowhere near the mini, the sound from the mini is superior in every way (though I wasn't expecting this to live up to the mini). The other thing that bothers me is the instructions. The way to turn this off and on is to press firmly down on the power button for a SECOND, do not hold the button. This wasn't made clear by the instructions and the speaker was running for several hours after I thought I had turned it off.Charges with a basic micro usb. Overall a nice looking speaker but not really worth it for the sound quality.

BOSE MINI KILLER
I have recently embraced Bluetooth speaker technology after several disappointments early on with the technology and have owned the JBL Charge, Oontz Curve, Bose Mini Soundlink and now this one. The outward design quality and performance of this unit is amazing at the sub $100.00 price point. The depth of Bass and Clarity is not quite as good as the Mini, but certainly NOT to the degree that would justify spending nearly 4X the price for the $200.00 Bose product which does not function as a speakerphone.Though excellent overall, one reviewer had remarked on the dismal performance of the X05 as a speakerphone. I found the exact opposite experience, the audio at my end was astonishing, but the interesting thing is that I was able to communicate clearly to the other party several feet away from the unit with total clarity. The success of this unit as a viable speakerphone seems to be related to the quality of phone being used, mine is a newer Motorola Max smartphone. The only two negative aspects of the unit for me are that establishing a handshake can be problematic and the grill is of a soft woven material, rather than metal screen, but beyond these attributes, is a tremendous value. I would love to see a three or four speaker version of this design.

Very good for it's price
This was a pleasant surprise, I was tossing up between this and the Bose mini soundlink as my brother has the soundlink.Even though this doesn't deliver deep base like the sound link compared to pretty much every other speaker at the $100 range and even some over that like the Beats Pill the JBL Ontour Micro UE mini Boombox, Creative D100, JBL flip, Logitech Ultimate ears Boom Speaker Logitech UE Boombox just to name a few, the sound from this little speaker is brilliant, it has really nice mid and high range sound that doesn't distort even at louder volumes and the bass it reasonable and can be increased as it takes it from the sound card from the device you play from, with me my it's my S3.I couldn't believe how long the battery lasted after charging it for about 4 hours, at mid to low volume in 7-8 hour bursts it lasted 9 nights, it has continued this after the second charge, this blew me away.I tried the micro function from my phone and was told that I sounded like I was in a tunnel and very far away even though the speaker was directly next to me so that was a downer but in all honestly it's not really something that I'll really use. This speaker lost very nice too.Highly recommend this speaker to anyone that isn't sure, I'm in New Zealand and took the chance and am very very happy I did.

Impressed... (Sounds great and is still working)
Chinese design and production have come a long way. While there are still very small "tells", you'd be hard pressed to tell this from a much more expensive European design house (Braun, B&O). They even got the packaging (mostly) right, but the instruction booklet very much gives it away. It's smaller than you might expect which makes the sound a bit shrill, but it's good in certain applications and when placed on a solid surface backed up to a wall, the sound improves (i.e.: not as good on a picnic blanket). Pairing with my iPhone took 5seconds -- the Bluetooth module was IDed as x05 and it paired immediately and hung on to the signal.Edit: Two years later, this is been a well-functioning and decent sounding speaker (it's quite small, so it's not going to sound amazing no matter what) — which is amazing considering the price. With a few refinements and some good PR, you'd be hard pressed to tell this from one sitting on the shelf of a boutique for 6X the price.

More impressed with this one than other small speakers in the same price range
This little speaker is attractive looking and puts out decent volume for the size and price.

Adequate for the price
This product is good in a pinch, and has great battery life for what however much I use it, but the sound quality leaves me wanting more. While it is difficult to produce a good sound with a little box, they do a good job, but I think it's worth it to get a slightly bigger speaker for more sound quality.

Good sound for this type of device
Good sound for this type of device, and really great styling. Easy to pair with your devices, and the battery life seems good.

Great sound, quick charge, convenient to carry around.
I really am happy with this device. My only problem is even with the instructions, I am unable to add other bluetooth cell devices. I would like to know so I can share when needed.
