Lots of fun... May need additional component
This product arrived on time. It came in great packaging. After two days of practicing I can now walk about 15 steps in a controlled manner. It is a lot of fun to learn to walk this line. The webbing does fray (thus 4 stars). I think I've solved the problem by making a thin slip cover that goes around a 4 foot section of webbing. It goes through the ratchet easily, takes the force of detentioning, and protects the webbing. This cover was not hard to make, but I think it's the kind of thing Gibbon should think to include.

Lots of fun for whole family
We are very happy with this purchase. We've played with the slack line a dozen or so times and my spouse and I, both fairly athletic and in our 40s, are just getting the hang of taking a few steps. It is great fun, but it will take us awhile to do anything more than walking! Our active preschooler loves to balance as we steady her, or walk across the line while an adult holds her hand.It is pretty easy to set up, although it took me a few attempts to get the orientation of the buckles correct. We did not purchase the tree protector kit, and using towels folded in half appears to be quite adequate in protecting the trees we've attached it to. One caveat is that one needs to take it down between uses. I had imagined keeping it up and having it available for just a few minutes of play while out in the back yard, but it isn't designed to be out in the elements. Also, I don't think I'd want it up with the possibility of younger kids using it unsupervised.Overall a great purchase for our family.

Good to start on and good for the family.
A good line to start on, but you will quickly outgrow it. I used this about 3 times before I could walked across it and back, so I built my own "Primitve setup" with 4 karabiners, 75 feet of 1 inch rope(tubular webbing) and some rappel rings. The classic line is great to start on, great for the family, and great to practice difficult stuff on ( such as the drop knee) but if you are looking to get into serious highlining or longline, you might want to build your own with 1 inch line.

Not satisfied.
I'm not familiar with slacklines at all and I ordered this as a gift for my friends. The "product details" says shipping weight is "1 pounds", so I ordered 2x 15m red slacklines. When I got the slacklines, there was like a huge box with around 5 pounds each. I know that's probably a standard weight for a 15m slackline, but again, I'm not familiar with it at all, and I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew its real weight. Thus not satisfied.

Go HopOn instead
Get the HOPON classic slack line instead. The HOPON slack lines are same quality but better priced. My brother has the HOPON slack lines and they are great!

its a nice line and ratchet
Was misled/disappointed by the photos, I thought it would be coming with the stands. Other wise, its a nice line and ratchet.

I bought this because my daughter had enjoyed them at camp
I bought this because my daughter had enjoyed them at camp, and we have had good, challenging family fun on it. It is a bit challenging to set up, since it takes a great deal of strength to adequately tighten the ratchet; however, given the tension required I don't think this could be improved. It clearly provides an incredible workout for your abs and core - I exercise regularly, but after practicing for 10 minutes, I felt like I'd completed an hour long workout class.

The workout that's Fun!!
This is my first slackline and definitely not my last! Great for beginners, provides a constant challenge, it's fun and actually a really good workout. If you stick with it you will really feel your improvement and it's something to be proud about. There's slight wear and tear over time with usage. But when you're tensioning it so tight between two trees, it should be expected. (I would recommend tree protection to extend the life of your slackline, but wear is still inevitable)It seems expensive at first, but has given me 50+ hours of entertainment alone, 80+ hours including friends. So it's definitely cheaper than going to the movies, and more rewarding! Also, my balance has improved greatly so it's led me to try and enjoy more physical activities like yoga and skateboarding. It's a great buy! Even if you've never tried it out, I encourage you to pick it up.Be careful though, slacklining can become addicting!
