Whoopie Pies

Growing up i was not a fan of whoopie pies. Those factory pies just tasted likestale junk. Fast forward to today, where just about everything is making a comeback, like the cupcake. The Whoopie Pie is back, but updated. The first thingI love about the book is the amount of pictures of the finished products. They wereso tempting I found it difficult to choose. I whipped up a batched and took it toa huge dinner with over 70 people. I thought they were yummy but my feelings wereconfirmed when the adults and the kids raved! Even one young lady came up to me and said, is this your own special recipe? Where can I find it? Another kid yelled, wow brownie hamburgers! Many adults asked for seconds.The instructions are clear but basic. I used a pipping bag for the filling to give it a classier look.She has red velvet whoopies, and beet whoopies if you want to go a more natural route. There are also savory whoopies. There are many fruit based whoopies as well. I can't wait to try more.

I preordered this book because it contains many recipes including those for savory whoopies. Most of the fillings are high fat which one would expect. However, the majority of recipes have both sour cream and large amounts of butter in the batter. So the finished product is very high fat. Tasty whoopies can be made with a much less fat and calories. That said, there are some good filling recipes.

I just got the book in the mail today. The pictures are beautiful, recipes for both sweet and savory whoopie pies are included. I can't wait to bake from it. Will come back for an update on the outcome

Whoopies pies has not been a very successful investment. Have not found one recipe that works well. Still searching for a good filling recipe

Great recipes, great ideas, delicious outcome! Makes me want to make these pies over and over again. Have received lots of compliments on the different ones I have made for friends and family. Buy it!

This is the second one I have bought.Great gift.The recipes are wonderful and quite easy to boot.

Nice full page pictures and a good variety of recipes.

The instructions in this book are awful! They would only make sense to someone who already knows how to make the item. Very disappointed!
