OSI Marine Lab Mountain with Trees Large Aquarium Ornaments

Update: Mountain has been in large aquarium for 5-6 months. Still looks beautiful. The fish love it (like to sleep/hide in the caves) and so do we.Original review:Like other reviewers, I agree that this product is a lovely addition to an aquarium. I don't have fish in the tank yet, but it will definitely provide a place for them to hide and play. My only complaint is that the "trees" were hot-glued on by someone in a hurry. I had to carefully cut away big globs of dried glue and pull off several strand of glue thread. One tree was not glued in securely, so I ended up pulling a cluster of three out, removing the glue, and re-gluing using less hot glue so it wasn't so visible. It was a simple fix for an otherwise eye-catching aquarium piece. I have a big 75-gallon tank so the size is good; I actually set it on a few pieces of slate stone to lift it up a little and surround the slate with gravel. Looks nice!

This "mountain" looks great in my aquarium. The only problem I have had is when I have to take it out for cleaning, the tiny little trees tend to fall off when touched. I have to be oh so very careful when cleaning this and even still trees will fall off. I wish they had included a bit of the glue needed to reattach them, but alas no glue. You have to be so careful with any chemical you put on anything that goes in your tank for fear of creating a toxic problem, so the trees go in the trash when they fall off sadly. I do love the item and it must be cleaned from time to time, so I don't know what the answer is, but it does look very nice in my tank.

The media could not be loaded.  Some excess glue, but the piece looks great in my 20G aquarium. Just FYI, base at the back isn't flat, but has a protrusion similar to the front but smaller.I went with an asian-ish theme. The only reason its not 5 Stars is solely based on I wish it had larger openings. With that said this is very neat, add a few dark lights and it looks very neat at night under our moon lights. We have a 200+ gallon tank and it sits in the middle, its very realistic and has weight to it so its not to get knocked over. It was packaged Extremely well to protect it during shipping (especially during Christmas) I am HIGHLY Recommending this for your aquarium but make sure you have plenty of room.

I got this to go in my 20g. It covers a lot of the area, so I just have a little Japanese Tori Bridge decoration and some live plants in with it. I took off some of the fake plants (I was worried about them with a betta's delicate fins). I'm not sure I needed to, I was a bit hasty about taking them off before really feeling if they would be an issue. They are pretty soft for plastic plants, so it may not be an issue. I've filled some of the holes the fake plants left with live ones, though.

it's exactly what you see in the picture. It looks very nice. It's not heavy but it does not look sturdy, so I took extra care when handling it.the little trees look real.Update 2/10/12it's been a while I put this into my tank. my Pearl Gourami and Clown loaches won't come out of the cave.... so if you have fishes that like to hide... you will run into this issue.

The media could not be loaded.  I think this is a beautiful well made product for the price which is a great value.I put it in my 45 Gallon Tank.My only caveat is that if you have fish that like to hide, like my pleco, you will only see them at feeding time.That is why I took the ornament out and saving it for a 65 gallon tank that I am getting in the near future with fish that will swim through it but will not hide all the time.

This is a nice size, and it has a very pleasing form. The bamboo trees are much too fake, with light tan stems that look like taffy. The colors overal look like a worn concrete, so if you want a dark or striking piece, this doesn't really deliver. However, the fish just love the hiding nooks and swimming all the way across in the channel it makes between the two entrances and the aquarium gravel. If you get this, stay with neutral colors in your fishtank, as vibrant colors in your plants will make this look even more subdued.
