Went right in my 2000 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab. Just remember to place the shock in the correct upright position as it will be installed, and run it full stroke up and down a few times to work the oil in the chambers before you install them. The instructions don't tell you this, but I learned this "trick" way back. It extends the life of the shock, and makes it work better.

replaced the fronts on my 2500 ram with these about 4 months ago. Heavy cummins diesel front end- about 5k on them with no issues.

its kind of hard to compare these shocks to the old shocks, because the old shocks were so old and so blown out that there really is no comparison. but these shocks arrived on time and they were the correct shocks and they seem to be perform very well.
