can bowl be filled and then flushed

No, but the bowl does collect about 1-2 inches of water in the bottom. When the bottom seals up the water still runs for a second or two and the water stays in the bottom for upto a week with out draining out. You can also let more water in by slighly touching the foot pedal allowing water to come in to the bowl but not opening the seal. So it will not work like your house toliet but it does have a great seal that will allow you to manipulate it to funtion almost like your house toliet.

I am 280 lbs and I need a toilet big enough to not just sit on but wipe also. Being blunt is the only way to find out. Will this one work?

Great question... I am also looking for a residential size toilet, with a full size, elongated bowl... The only RV toilet that I've found so far, is the Dometic 320 series... But, for some reason, NONE OF THESE MANUFACTURERS LIST THE DISTANCE FROM THE CENTER OF THE DRAIN HOLE, TO THE BACK WALL... They do NOT all fit... The Dometic 320 would not fit in my camper, as it is about 3 full inches too long, from the middle of the drain, to the wall behind the toilet... But, you need to contact each manufacturer, to get their individual specs, as NOBODY LISTS THESE SPECS... Very poor planning on EVERY manufacturers part! Turns what could be a quick sale, into a nightmare, trying to find something that will work! The height does not really matter... In most cases, the width does not really matter... In most cases, the overall length does not matter... BUT THE DISTANCE FROM THE CENTER OF THE DRAIN, TO THE BACK WALL MOST DEFINITELY MATTERS...

Can the seat be replaced with a standard toilet seat?

It does have standard width mounting holes for the toilet seat so you could replace the seat with anything you want from a home improvement store.

Does this unit come with a closet flange seal or does that have to be purchased separately?

This is a great upgrade from the stock toilet

I installed this toilet with the Thetford 24967 Riser. The height is nice. The seat is much more comfy than our old one. The area below the flush valve is a nice straight easy to clean tube, not a cavernous opening that will collect foul smelling debris. The flush is easy to operate, and the seat has soft close, so it doesn't smack down. I like this RV toilet. It is super light and seems sturdy enough. Install was straight forward.

Good standard basic camper toilet ~ good for repair to sell or occasional use.

In a 26' Sierra camper. Very easy install. Taller than my original, narrow pedestal feels a bit unsteady. I weigh 190lbs and I sit gingerly when doing my business. Used daily past 6-8 months and still working as designed. Flush is a fan pattern and about 45 degrees of bowl gets water. I have to wipe rim down and clean bowl with brush often~ original crapper not so much. Flush flapper better than my original, poop travels straight into Black tank so haven't dealt with smell if I keep 2" water over flapper. Meets the need, is a lower price point. Next time I will add a $100 and get a wider mounting base (like my original) and better flush.

Great bye and good product

This was a nice replacement for the one we had with the foot pedal in the front. It was noisy whenever you flushed. Was looking for a quieter flush and this did the trick

Flimsy toilet

Flimsy, feels real cheap. Made of plastic, softclose lid failed within 7 months of purchase, only used for 1 month, rest of the time the rv us not used. I hope nothing else fails, product support is lacking. I will not purchase this product ever again
