These are okay
I have used this exact same threading tool before and had great results. I'm not sure if these orange ones use a different type of metal but it does not grasp the hair as good as the ones I've purchased in the past.

Takes some practice
Well, after reading reviews for several different brands of the spring epilators, I decided to just settle for a cheaper kind because frankly based on comments they seemed like they may have been difficult to get the hang of and I didn't wanna waste $15-20 on something I would end up getting frustrated with and throwing in a drawer never to be used again. After only a few attempts I was getting the hang of these things in the first 5 minutes. I basically epilated my mustache off and it worked like a charm. i had to look in the mirror to see if I was getting all the hairs. After a few different types of bends I came to the conclusion that the product is most effective if you bend it only very slightly and roll up and outward rather than under. I gave one to my sister and she used it and says it was effective, yet very painful the first time. It only took her about 5 minutes to get the hang of it too, and she tried a different tactic which was simply to stretch and then clamp on a bunch of hairs at once and then roll up, no bending required. Her way was different and would probably take a little longer, but still worked. So it seems there is a different technique for everyone. Do what works for you and don't give up on it if it doesn't work the first few times. Before I epilated I waxed my lip about two weeks before so that it wouldn't be as painful when these came in the mail. That tactic seems to have worked since it didn't hurt that much at all. I would say that these were worth the money. Will they hold up over time? I guess we'll find out. My plan is not to stretch them at all, only bend them ever so slightly and then blow the hairs out and rub it with alcohol to desantize when I'm done so that it doesn't rust or anything. One person said that the handle snapped off and shot back in their eye, but after trying to forceably remove the handle, I found it to be quite difficult. I did manage to pull it off, and then had an extremely difficult time getting it back on since the coils were so tight. I recommend not taking the handles off, but if you do, the spring might still be useable since you can still plausibly bend it and roll it over your skin. I have one tucked in a drawer, another in my purse, and I'm giving the rest to my mom and sisters. Definitely a great bargain :)UPDATE 5/6/2015: I have been using these since last year and they still seem to work pretty effectively. It takes me about 5-10 minutes to epilate my lip with this. I still use alcohol to sanitize it before and after. This seems to prevent it from rusting in my opinion. So I would say these are worth a buy and you probably won't need to replace them for years to come, especially since they come in a five pack. I'm still using only one and it hasn't worn out. Good buy!

YEOOOWWWW!
Holy crow, this thing hurts to use! I am a veteran waxer and plucker and this thing, wow, even I had trouble with it. I bought this nifty torture device because I am busy, and sometimes it is just not in my schedule to get the wax all ready and go through that whole process, or to sit down and try to pluck out every little hair. I figured I could just pull this out of the drawer and do a quick pass when things are getting all sasquatch. Easy peasy. When I was younger, I was blissfully hairless. Sure, I had a little white peach fuzz on my upper lip but nothing I ever bothered with. Then I had children and my body decided to betray me. My hormones freaked out and cue the mustache. What was most terrible is that I was not used to dealing with my upper lip so I didn't notice it for some time. I don't wear makeup or have a 2 hour beautifying routine every day so I generally just peeked in a mirror here and there to make sure I didn't look like Medusa and that I didn't have a large zit on my nose. Hair doesn't look like a rat's nest? Good to go.One day when I sat down to pluck the old eyebrows (which are slowly going gray by the way. Another betrayal), I looked in the mirror and realized, "I am turning into a man and no one told me!!!" How long was I walking around with a luxuriant stache that everyone noticed but didn't comment on? Once I started tackling said 'stache, I noticed that I would have to wax a couple times a week to make sure dark hairs weren't cropping up unexpectedly midweek. Apparently hair grows willy nilly and there is no method to the madness. Get rid of one hair and there is another just waiting to take its place.Hence the purchase of this torture device and this review. It does work for sure. I even checked that it is ripping hair out by the root. It is. It is easy to use and causes only minor blotching that goes away fairly quickly after use. I am no wussy lady, but I have been using it off and on with caution. I do one small section at a time and put it down till the next day when I do some more. Eventually I may get used to it as other reviewers mention, but right now I don't see how that is possible.I should not be punishing this product with a 4 star review when it works just as it says it will and deserves 5 stars, but I feel that someone or something must be punished for inflicting this sort of pain. Everyone who purchases this must be made aware of what they are getting themselves into. I am very pleased with this purchase for its ease of use and very displeased with it because every time I use it, it causes me to bellow out curse words and doubt my own sanity.

Episticks funktionieren wirklich sehr gut.
