I bought some other brand from Amazon last year. It torn apart in a fairly light wind. When I read the reviews on this one I thought I would try it since I have thousands of berries getting ripe.This is so strong and flexible I was able to stretch and tie a knot in one corner of the Berry patch, twist it to about 3 twist per 10 foot and tied it to another corner post about 75 feet away. We had a wind storm the next day and this held perfect. The birds won't go near it as long as the twist are in and the sun is out. I have spinners and metal wind mills they sell as 'Mole Chasers' as well which control everything to the point where we have picked about 2 gallons of berries and have another 20 gallons to go and we are not losing any to birds or deer. Not sure it will keep the squirrels out of the plum trees but I just ordered more to try it.One small problem. The raccoons think this is the greatest collectible in their stash! I caught one hanging from it trying to break a piece off. I left a few cuttings on the ground to keep them happy. So far they have left the long lines alone again. It's always something.

We have large sliding glass doors along the back of the house. We have tried many things over the years to prevent bird strikes. This is the first thing that has worked for us. It is now mid June and we have had this hanging by our doors since the beginning of April. This is the time of year when we have traditionally had the most bird strikes - with all the crazy mating behaviors and new babies flying about. This is the first year EVER where we have NOT HAD ONE BIRD STRIKE - not even a graze, and definitely not any suicides. I highly recommend this product. We have two 4 foot strips hanging from the eave by each door on the side where there isn't a screen. They blow in the breeze. They make a crinkling sound that is not annoying and does not disturb our sleep or wake us up. (We sleep within 5 feet of one of the doors). The birds come near them to get to the bird bath and the suet. They will even fly near them to get some delicious bugs that may be crawling nearby, but they stay clear of the windows. We are very, very happy!

I have crows in the backyard recently. I was thinking about getting a fake owl but checking the reviews led me to try this flashy tape instead. I put up 4 strips of 4 to 6 feet in length on a wood strip, spaced about 2 feet apart. It flutters in the breeze and does flash and make a noise as other reviewers said. The good things is no more crows came in the past week. A few pigeons and hummingbirds came near which is OK by me. I can see the flashing even from inside the house but the annoyance factor is reasonably minor.

It definitely reduced the number of starlings sitting on my porch railing. I watched them swoop in as group of 50+ birds and take a sharp left as they noticed the iridescent streamer fluttering in the wind. HOWEVER, the streamer does not hold up well to strong wind (regular wind speed = about 20 mph - with gusts higher). It breaks apart and leaves small pieces all over the place. Gave it to a friend living in an area with much less wind than I get and she is very happy with it.

I was sceptical about this stuff working but it did! I had laid down some grass seed and black birds a thousand of them came and ate it all up. I researched different products like sonic waves and stuff, but this was cheap and I checked it out on youtube. So I put it up all around the yard ( my neighbor thought I was having a party) and it worked immediatly- no birds, no more bird poop!

Not esthetic but does the job of scaring away woodpecker. Nothing else seemed to work.

While many people rave about this product, it did absolutely nothing to deter the Robins from our blueberry bushes. They would stand right next to it while eyeballing up their next berry. I was quite disappointed. I hung it quite thickly, but the Robins won.

I had two plastic owls that did not solve the problem totally and was at my wits end over the birds roosting on my deck at night. I put up 6 strips of this in the area where they were roosting and no more birds right away!!! This works!! And it looks festive too!
