Best on the Market for Grandparents!
Yes, Grandparents. We got this tricycle for our 2-year old grandson's birthday. It's fantastic. It was easy to put together with minimal effort. It's smaller than the regular sized tricycle so his feet can reach the pedals! The handle bar in the back is the BEST EVER! No more bending down to help toddlers learn how to steer or pedal! Back Saver!!! The BONUS is you can steer the front wheel with the push bar! YES, you are in charge to gain ground even if they decide not to pedal. The seat is a perfect width to help keep them in over rockier ground and bumps. We have abandoned the stroller. The "boot" in the back holds snacks and a diaper. Thank you Radio Flyer!! I'm helping pedal that grandson to nap time daily! He loves it too!

Great bike
This is so much fun for the grandkids. Only comment is it can tip over if you are on grass so you do have to be careful.

New favorite toy, for BOTH of us!
We had a nice tricycle, and my 2 year old grandbaby wanted to ride it so badly, but they are made to pedal. A 2 year old doesn't understand pedaling. He just wanted to scoot it with his feet, which doesn't really work, and he would get so frustrated. Now, he loves this one, and so do I! He learned to pedal in one day, and was so proud of himself that he had to show everyone he could find lol. Now, I still have to help (push) some from time to time, and I love how easy it is for ME to steer it when needed, because for some reason he is obsessed with ramming parked cars. I would recommend this trike all day long, especially for Grandparents that can't bend all day to push the regular trike. This one is a genius upgrade!!

Durable, Fun, and Easy to Assemble!
I recently gifted my 3-year-old the Radio Flyer Deluxe Steer & Stroll Ride-On Trike, and it's been a hit! This trike is impressively durable, which is a huge relief for any parent. One of the standout features of this model is its unique design, where the pedals won't wheel in reverse. While this makes it easier for me to assist my child by pushing, it does pose a challenge when he wants to pedal independently. In those cases, he needs to put his feet down to stop or reverse, which can be a bit tricky for him. Similarly, the braking mechanism is another area of concern. Since he can't hold onto the pedals for braking, it can be difficult for him to come to a complete stop on his own. This means I need to keep a close eye on him, especially when he's navigating busy areas. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to assemble this trike. It took me about 20 minutes, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Radio Flyer trike provides hours of entertainment and helps my child develop coordination and balance. Plus, the classic red design is timeless and appeals to kids of all ages. Overall, while there are a few quirks to navigate, the Radio Flyer Deluxe Steer & Stroll Ride-On Trike is a durable and enjoyable ride-on toy that will keep your little one entertained for hours.

Don't Put Together While The Kid's Awake
So, like many others I've seen reviewing this particular trike, I thought that with enough patience and diligence, I'd be able to figure out how to put this thing together. I finally conquered the task, but have some recommendations for those attempting it: get the kids to sleep (my 2yo was "helping"), get an engineering degree, and pour yourself a stiff drink. The parts are poorly labeled and marked, particularly the bolts. For some reason there needed to be a 6 digit code for each, but they weren't in any real numerical order as far I can tell. And, the packaging doesn't really lend itself to identifying parts - I ended up laying them all out and just comparing the size. Also, pay attention to the slotted edges of most of the tube like pieces, there's not a lot of detail in the pictures to help you realize that some parts really need to be lined up to work. Don't cut the random part off the main body that's attached with a ribbon, either; apparently it's to connect the parent handle to the bike (whoops). Oh, and good luck hammering the back wheels on and continuing to have fingers. Other similar assembly required toys I've purchased had a small part to help give you a larger surface area to hit with the hammer (saving your fingers and patience) but this one seems to be a cruel joke on parents. Luckily, the small child loved playing with each and every part as I assembled, and absolutely loves the finished product. He demanded to ride it immediately, and thoroughly rings the bell every time. I will say, the bell ringer is a tab of plastic that gets pulled back to hammer the bell, and I won't be surprised when it breaks off due to fatigue. I'm just planning to purchase a separate bike bell to replace it in the future. Overall this is a great toy that I'm sure he'll get a lot of use out of, but I am also extremely glad that I will not be attempting to take it apart/put it back together at any other point in my or its lifetime.

Two year old grandson very chuffed with it and his parents are able to push it without bending over. He loves putting his ball and lunch in the boot for the ride to the park. His steering is showing no improvement, however!
