Philippe Karl & High Noon ; Part 1 - DVD

This is the best dressage training video I have purchased yet. Often times coaches focus only on the horse must do. It is okay to know what the horse must do, however I am not the horse, and I want to know what I must do for the horse. Philippe Karl is very explanatory about what aids he is using, when, and why. His horse is soft and willing, even in the beginning. And from the beginning to end I see the horse has a well stretched neck, active hind legs, a good balance, and above all a calm and relaxed horse.I also commend him for doing an entire video on a young and green horse so that we may learn from the training as it happens.

This is an outstanding video. I watch it over and over and learn something new each time I watch it. Then I go out and practice with my own horses. The training methods are exceptional. Philippe explains what he is doing and why he is doing it throughout his training of this lovely gelding. I'm looking forward to High Noon Part II.

A nice little DVD, full of quiet moments showing mostly the master working with his horse. Very enjoyable to watch but those who only ride competitive dressage will be unfamiliar with the material. This is purely French classical dressage.

This video clearly shows the progressive training of a horse without force and without auxiliary training aids. Training this way works for any horse regardless of discipline.
