Great product, fantastic company!
This is about the easiest phosphate test kit I have ever used, and the company that makes them has really great customer service. One of the test tubes arrived broken (not a huge deal, there are two in the package) so I reached out to the customer service email to see if they had extras available for purchase. They took a while to get back to me, but were very apologetic about the wait and went above and beyond to make it right. They sent me a brand new test kit, and a hand-written note expressing their apologies for taking a few extra days to get back to me.I, myself, work in customer service, so I have pretty high standards for how I am treated as a customer. This company exceeded my expectations and then some, and the product they make is, in my humble opinion, one of the best available.I can't wait to try some of their other products, because I really do believe that if I ever have any issues they will be sure to make it right. I actually haven't really had issues with this phosphate test, it seems very accurate and the user experience is significantly better than competing tests. It's easy to read, with a nice, clear color card, and very clear instructions. A+ product, A+ customer experience. Well done!

Great product
I use this to measure the water hardness in my African cichlid tank. Works well.

Very easy to use
It is a good setup but I'd like to compare it to another manufacturer.

Excellent economical test kit with limited capability
I worked in three pet shops as a teen and later managed the salt water department in a very large pet shop in Philadelphia. I have kept fish since I was five years old but have been on hiatus for the past 20 years and not had any tanks. These kits have been around for ages and are very accurate if you use them for their true intended purpose; freshwater community tanks or similar. Don't try and use the nitrite or ammonia for saltwater tanks of any sort (even though the kits say the can do salt water, they don’t do it well). Don't use the pH test kit for tanks that need exact pH values for high pH animals like cichlids (though this is less of a problem if you read below). These tests are extremely economical and provide many more tests per dollar than any other kits available. My son is six and my daughter is four. We decided to raise tadpoles twice this year and needed to monitor ammonia, nitrite, and pH. The 40-ish year old design of these kits still fit that bill perfectly and were exactly what we needed. I wish the scale on the pH kit went higher, but it goes high enough for community fish. Tadpoles here tend to like higher pH values of ~8.2 and the pH kit doesn't go that high. However, I got a rough enough estimate if the pH test indicated that the pH was off the chart high as water isn't going to go much above 8.2 unless you use chemicals inappropriately to alter ph.Ammonia and nitrite test kits worked perfectly as in the past and averted many potential tadpole disasters and crying children. We've kept snails, clams, some minnows, and loads of plants in the tank while the tadpoles have developed so the bio load was always changing.Still great kits even after 40 years at a very affordable price.Highly recommended for their intended usage scenario.

The only best test kit for GH&KH values!!!
I purchased this product for my shrimp tanks to help maintain specific GH and KH values. It does its job well, which is great. I found it at a better price on Amazon compared to big retailers near me, so I'm happy with that! 🤞

Good liquid test for Gh and KH...
I do use APIs master liquid test kit and felt I also needed to test GH and KH too which the master kit didnt have. The tests work fine although it threw me off a bit in that these tests work by counting the number of drops it takes to make the 5ml of water change colors instead of a fixed number of drops and determine the color like the way the master tests do.I really miss the glass test tubes they used to provide. The plastic tubes they now provide can be stained with chemicals over time and the caps get broken off. Usually the plastic tubes are done for long before using all the test liquids. Also the 5ml line on these plastic tubes are hard to see. Of course the good thing is that they dont break as easily as the glass ones did. But at least you get new tubes with new test kits.My city tap water has periods of very hard and sometimes only minorly hard water with a pH changing from 7.4 to 8.0 depending on the season and city's ever changing procedures. Sometimes it can be one way on a Monday and by Friday the tap water can be very different. This kit lets me know when I need to do a bit of chemical doping to bring tap water more to where my tanks should be.The more you know about your water quality, the more you can make plant and fish environments comfotable for them.

The last two tests I needed
Should be part of the master test kit.

Max pH 7.6, poor dosing guidelines
The scale only goes up to 7.6, so useless for a cichlid tank. The pH up/down instructions tell you how much to add, but not what the expected change is. My pH was high off the scale (blue), but there i no way to know how high or how much acid to add.

Nice test kit to test general hardness and carbonate hardness of the water.
This is an essential test kit for fish keeping as it will determined the general hardness and carbonate hardness in the water. I use ro water for my fresh water tanks which gives the pure form of water. Then I mix general hardness enhancing solution like seachem equilibrium or seachem replenish to make water with desired gh level. Then I use seachem alkaline buffer and acid buffer accordingly to maintain the proper carbonate hardness and ph for the specific species tank I'm using the water. This kit comes handy in checking the final gh and kh levels before adding the water in the tanks..
