This is the second one I have purchased and love the low cost and how smoothly the tab works. When I took it out of the package, it struck me as very attractive, first of all, but it was light weight. I would like real brass but these were much more affordable. It was VERY easy to install and my 17 year old daughter installed them both, in a very short time. They have worked perfectly, one for about 6 months now and efficiently direct ALL of the water to either the shower or tub, with no dripping. I will purchase again, when needed!

Buy two, they only last about a year in hard water.

Very good looking, quality tub spout. Looks sharp. VEry distinctive and works very well. Included the plumbers tape and simple directions for many different sizes of spout attachments. Would def. purchase again.

I always look for a Danko part when doing plumbing repairs as I have always had good luck regarding price and quality of the products I have bought from them. Very happy weith this tub direter spout.

Somebody from Danco should try installing the product using the directions they provide. Looks like they changed them a bit from a few years ago but still horrible! Directions are riddled with errors and lack of clarity. As far as the product is concerned it has the following issues. 1) directions Starr you should “screw through the Retaining ring and back the plastic extension nipple“. This is impossible with the thickness of the extension nipple being too thick, maybe the mold shifted over years. The hole must be drilled to properly open it. This should be done by the mfg. 2) the design required that the rubber O ring shown be tightened against the wall inside of the Extension nipple. This requires proper tightening of the Extension onto the adapter YET the hole in nipple must stay aligned with the slot in the adapter. Since the slot is only half way around the adapter in found the O right never seated tight enough when the hole was visible so it leaked. It appears their mild has shifted over the years because the older extension which was I cleaned up aligned just fine, and O ring seated flush resulting in no leak. 3) trying to take off an old Spout by twisting off the spout from the extension as suggested is very unlikely possible. More likely the O ring and adapter will twist and the screw will gouge the copper as its twisted off. Wise installation would be to ensure the Retainer ring screw is position on the bottom of the spout, not on top as suggested in directions. That way the screw can be later loosened threw the slot on the bottom of spout, granted need to use a rt angle driver but it’s a clean removal and a clean copper tube when done. Now that the price has risen on this product a smart US company should design this correctly with clear directions and produce it here in the USA, once and for all.

The washer in my current tub spout needed replacing. I decided to change the entire spout as the current one is at least 20 yrs old and I wanted to keep the gold look to match the other tub accessories! I will say Amazon is good to look for items in not as popular finishes. I couldn't find a gold spout in any of the local stores. The package came with instructions. Even if you are experienced it doesn't hurt to read it once over. I'm not a handyman nor a man but I was able to follow the instructions and install the new spout...with a little help from You Tube! The most difficult part was removing the old spout. Overall the product was as described and priced right. It's basic which was all I was looking for in addition to the gold finish. Do make sure you measure the length of the copper pipe before you purchase to make sure this one is the correct fit.

I couldn't find an equivalent brass faucet locally, only on Amazon. It was easy to install with clear instructions that covered various pipe connection options. In my case of connecting to a bare 1/2 in. pipe, the supplied rubber compression fitting works more reliably to seal the connection than the washer in the old Moen faucet that I was replacing
